The Fell Pony Society Breed Show — what a day!
Yesterday was a very special day and one I certainly won’t forget.
The quality across all classes this year was incredible!
🌟 Salisbury Diva — 2nd in Geld Mares 8yo+
She then went on to take Reserve Champion Mare, beautifully shown by Lucy Templeton
🌟 Halstone Lady Esme & Halstone Lady Serenity — 2nd in Mare with Filly Foal
A huge thank you to Matthew Fearon for stepping in at the very last minute to help show them!

🌟 Halstone My Deer (Bambi)🦌 — 4th in the 3yo Filly class
🌟 Halstone Dakotas Dream — 1st in the 2yo Filly class, then Champion Youngstock and finally RESERVE CHAMPION SUPREME! 🏆
Dakotas results mean an enormous amount to me. From the day she was born, I could see the quality in her and I knew she was something special. Two years ago, I took her to the Breed Show as a foal. She was a very small foal and stood bottom of the line. I think at the time, it would have been easy for people to overlook her, I’m so glad I didn’t.
I knew what I had, and I trusted what I could see in her. To now watch that same little foal grow and become Champion Youngstock and Reserve Supreme Champion at the Breed Show is very special and a proud moment for me as a breeder.
I didn’t grow up with Fell Ponies in my family, so they aren’t part of the generations before me. But I certainly hope they will become part of the generations that come after me.
I can safely say I don’t think I’ll be opting to take five ponies again anytime soon! 😂 It was a full-on day, but one that was so worth it.
I couldn’t have done it without Lucy, who helped from start to finish and my fabulous husband and family for all their help, support and encouragement throughout the day.
Thank you to everyone who stopped to chat, supported us and cheered us on. It really does mean so much.
