Meet Bourbon. Not just the Star of the month, but the Star of the year!
Bourbon is a rescue ( rehome) with not the best start in life and had her first ever groom at 9 months old.
She's in a bit of a fear period and adapting to change but she has the best pawrents helping her through this.
I didn't know what to expect as today she had her first groom. Would she stand still? Would she let me near her? Would she like a bath or the blaster? Could I get anywhere near her paws with the nail grinders?
Bourbon surprised me. She has to be the most loveable, well adjusted puppy I've ever had the pleasure to groom. Massively in part to her parents, but also to her trainer from TLC dog walking.
This puppy let me do everything! I cut her nails and,trimmed her feet and bathed and blow dried without so much as a wimper.
Then she interacted with the Pedro and left happy, confident, tail wagging and absolutely deserves a steak dinner tonight.
Every so often a dog comes into your life, and you think, this! This is when your job is rewarding, this is when you can watch a dog leave and know that a little love, a little patience, and a lot of snacks everything will work out.
Tonight I'm treating myself to a little 🍾, and hoping her parents do too, because I'm absolutely 💯 ❤️
