**🐾 Ronnie's Plot Twist 🐾**

Not too long ago, Ronnie's idea of making friends was filing a formal complaint about their existence. People? Suspicious. Men? Extra suspicious. Dogs? Absolutely not, thank you.

Fast forward to today, and apparently nobody told Ronnie he's supposed to keep up the tough bully-dog act.

The park was completely empty, so we decided to have a little training day. Ronnie was focused, listening well, and generally acting like a sensible, responsible gentleman.

Then, just as we were leaving, one of his new friends arrived.

In the space of about 0.4 seconds, Ronnie went from calm and collected to what can only be described as an unsupervised tornado.

Zoomies activated. Brain deactivated.

He charged around the park with his friend, wiggling with excitement and acting as though they hadn't seen each other in approximately 47 years. He was also delighted to see his friend's owners, proving that the once nervous boy is now collecting humans as friends too.

Watching him run around carefree, happy, and excited to see both dogs and people was honestly the best part of the day.

We're so proud of how far he's come. Even if he did completely forget all of his training the second his mate walked through the gate. 😂❤️🐾

🐾🏆 Dog of the Day Goes to Kobi! 🏆🐾
Today's award goes to our superstar Kobi! 🌟
When Kobi first joined us a few months ago, he had two main hobbies: pulling like a steam train and sharing his opinions about every dog he saw! 😅
After lots of patience, consistency, and starting out on a long line to help him understand what was expected, Kobi has made incredible progress. He now walks beautifully at heel, is a dream on the lead, and can happily walk with Nicky and pretty much any calm dog he's introduced to. 🐕❤️
Now before anyone thinks we've turned him into a little robot, he's still allowed to sniff, explore and enjoy being a dog. The only rule is that once he's had his sniff, we keep those paws moving! 👃🐾
My proudest moment came this week when I asked Kobi to sit while someone walked past us. He sat perfectly, stayed calm, and the person commented on what an amazingly trained dog he was. I don't think Kobi heard the compliment though... he was too busy looking for important sniffing opportunities. 😂
Kobi has worked so hard and has come such a long way in a relatively short time. He's proof that with patience, guidance and consistency, dogs can really surprise you.
We're incredibly proud of you, Kobi. Keep up the amazing work, superstar! ⭐🐶

🐶 NICOLAS THE CAVALIER STOOGE… OR APPARENTLY, THE GSD SECURITY SERVICES?! 😂

When Shiva passed away earlier this year, I honestly felt completely lost.

She wasn't just my dog. She was my world, my partner and, quite frankly, my four-legged colleague who took her job VERY seriously.

Shiva had an incredible ability to assess dogs. She knew the difference between a dog who was simply reactive and one who was genuinely unsafe.

Axel and Lucy? Safe.

Some other dogs? Shiva's verdict was very firmly:

“Absolutely not. That one can stay over there.” 😂

And I trusted her judgement completely.

Then there was Nicolas.

Our little Cavalier.

Our Cavalier Stooge. 😂

Nicky had trained alongside Shiva and had worked with smaller dogs as their safety net. But I never imagined he'd one day be doing the same job for a German Shepherd.

Enter Kobi.

A reactive GSD who, apparently, decided that what he really needed was a Cavalier.

And not just any Cavalier.

Nicolas.

Kobi uses Nicky as his security blanket. He follows him everywhere and absolutely adores him.

And Nicky?

Nicky has apparently taken his promotion VERY seriously.

He now spots other dogs for us, helps make sure they don't come too close, then trots back to Kobi to provide reassurance.

Basically, he's now:

👀 Lookout
🛡️ Security
📡 Early warning system
❤️ Emotional support Cavalier

All while weighing approximately the same as one of Kobi's back legs. 😂

It genuinely blows my mind.

I always knew Nicolas had learned from Shiva. I just didn't realise quite how much.

Shiva taught him how to read dogs.

And now this tiny Cavalier is using everything he learned to help a big, reactive German Shepherd feel safe.

Somewhere, I'm pretty sure Shiva is looking down thinking:

“Bloody hell, Nicky… I leave you unattended for five minutes and you've got yourself a GSD.” 😂❤️

From Cavalier Stooge…

to GSD Security Manager.

Tiny dog.

Massive job.

And apparently absolutely no concept of his own size. 😂🐾

Go to 2 minutes to see the Pointer join us, Nicky quietly ignored it until we got away then distracted it, took it in a different direction and when he's finished came back to us 😁

Axel has been out today and honestly… who is this confident king and what has he done with the nervous lad who used to bark at dogs just for existing?

He had loads of dogs around him — proper crowd, full audience — and not one single barking incident. Not even a tiny “I’m unsure” squeak. Nothing. Silence. Peace. Growth. Character development.

He was walking around like he’d completed a six‑week confidence bootcamp and was now ready to host a TED Talk called “How To Keep Your Cool When Surrounded By Absolute Madness.”

Dogs everywhere.
Sniffs happening.
Zoomies nearby.
Chaos in the distance.
And Axel?
Calm. Collected. Acting like he’s been meditating in the woods for three days.

At one point he even looked at me like, “I’m actually quite busy being emotionally stable right now, thanks.”

So yes — today we witnessed Axel’s transformation from Nervous Barky Boy to Zen Forest Monk. I’m expecting him to start offering life advice to the other dogs any day now.

Amber, our young Airedale beautiful troublemaker, finally rejoined the teen gang today at Paws in The Woods after spending ages walking with Bea to help build her confidence.

She hasn’t been out with Blue and Parker for a while, and honestly? The reunion in the woods was like watching a soap opera for dogs.

She clearly missed the boys and they clearly missed her, but the funniest part was the absolute drama that unfolded.

Amber tried to play with Blue — full wiggles, full enthusiasm — and Parker immediately got jealous. Proper “excuse me, that’s MY best friend” energy. He started instigating running, zoomies, chaos… anything to get her attention.

The problem?

Blue can’t run very well and Amber was already exhausted, so Parker was basically doing laps around them like a personal trainer who’d had too much coffee.He was pulling every trick in the book to be the one they both wanted to be with.

Running ahead.

Circling back.

Starting games.

Interrupting games.

Being dramatic.

Being needy.

Being Parker.

Amber looked torn between “I’ve missed you both” and “I did not sign up for this level of cardio.”Blue just stood there like the calm uncle who’s watching the kids argue over who gets the last biscuit.
