If you're a local business, or know of any local businesses who could help - we're looking for donations - money off vouchers, gift cards, free items etc for our August bank holiday fundraising event at the Swan - more details about that coming soon!

As we're a small local charity we'd really appreciate any help from the community - if you can help please get in touch with us, or if you know someone who could possibly help please share this post.

It's International Cat Day! (Although we're sure that cats are of the opinion that every day is International Cat Day!) Created by the International Fund for Animal Welfare, the aim is to celebrate the world's felines, and also raise awareness of responsible ownership and the promotion of cat welfare.

Remember Ava? With the poorly eye? Well she has been in foster for a while and they have been really looking after her, vets checks and a lot of care off the foster.

The vets are hopeful the eye won't need removing following a lot of bathing and care.

Plus even better, the foster has decided to keep Ava full time as their own cat and officially adopted her.

And with 5 other kittens having been homed (4) or reserved (1) it's been a great period.

Another day, another emergency call out, kittens trapped. Volunteers are on scene currently and are dealing with this. Kittens are tricky blighters at the best of times, but on top of that an avalanche of rubbish and debris is really testing us.

Maybe they're dreaming about finding someone to take care of them, a lap to snooze on, someone to snuggle into.
