What a fantastic year it’s been at Happy Paws @ B63!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful clients and their dogs for supporting our students throughout the academic year. Your trust and support have helped our learners gain invaluable experience and develop their grooming skills.

We’re incredibly proud of all our students and everything they have achieved this year, and we wish our graduating learners the very best for the future.

As our books are now closed for the academic year, we’d like to wish everyone a lovely summer and thank you for being part of another successful year.

🎓🐾 Congratulations, Level 3! 🐾🎓

Today marks the end of an incredible journey for our Level 3 Dog Grooming students as they completed their final practical assessments and officially finished their course ✂️🐶💜

We couldn’t be prouder of everything they have achieved throughout the year. From building confidence and developing new skills to tackling challenging grooms and assessments, each student has worked incredibly hard and shown fantastic dedication.

It has been a pleasure watching them grow into capable and knowledgeable groomers, and we know they all have bright futures ahead of them within the industry.

Congratulations, Level 3s! We wish you all the very best for the future and can’t wait to see where your grooming careers take you next. ✨💜

☀️🐾Half term! 🐾☀️

Happy Paws @ B63 is now closed for half term while our students enjoy a well deserved break 💜

As the weather gets warmer, we’d also like to remind everyone to take extra care with their dogs during hot weather 🌡️🐶

☀️ Top Tips for Keeping Dogs Safe in the Heat:
🐾 Walk dogs early morning or later in the evening
🐾 Avoid hot pavements — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws
🐾 Always provide plenty of fresh water and shade
🐾 Never leave dogs in cars, even for a few minutes
🐾 Watch for signs of overheating such as excessive panting, lethargy, or drooling

Remember, some breeds struggle more in warm weather, especially brachycephalic breeds, puppies, elderly dogs, and double-coated breeds 💜

🐾✨ Meet Cad! ✨🐾

Today Cad the gorgeous Akita came in for a HUGE deshed session 🛁🐶❄️

Akitas have incredibly thick double coats, which means regular deshedding is so important to help remove loose undercoat and keep their coat healthy and comfortable ✂️💨

Cad was such a good boy throughout his pamper session and left feeling much lighter and fresher afterwards 💜🐾

💡 Fun Fact:In Japan, Akitas are seen as symbols of loyalty, good health, and happiness 🇯🇵✨

Our books are now officially CLOSED for the current academic year and we are no longer taking any new bookings 📚✂️

🐾✨ Family Groom Day! ✨🐾

This week we had the lovely Woody, Lola & Bramble in together for a pamper session 🐶💜

These three were absolute stars while enjoying their grooming day together, and little Bramble had her very first big girl groom ✂️🛁🥹

Poodle mixes are ideal for wool coat assessments and we will be seeking them out in the new academic year. If you have any of the following, please get in touch for September!

🐾✨ Meet Murphy! ✨🐾

Murphy the adorable Miniature Schnauzer puppy came in for his very first big boy groom 🖤🐶

He was such a good boy and did amazingly for his first full groom, taking everything in his stride✂️🛁

Starting grooming young helps puppies build confidence and get comfortable with regular grooming appointments as they grow 💜

💡 Fun Fact:
The word “Schnauzer” comes from the German word for “moustache” — perfect for their iconic facial hair!

Schnauzer’s are ideal for our Breed Standard assessments, if you have a Miniature Schnauzer and think you can help our students in the new academic year please get in touch!

This week we’re shining the spotlight on the bold and beautiful Scottish Terrier 🖤🐶

Known for their distinctive beard, upright ears, and confident personalities, Scotties may be small — but they’re full of character!

✂️ Grooming Needs:
Scottish Terriers require regular grooming and coat maintenance to keep their signature look neat and tidy, especially around the legs, face, and skirt

💡 Fun Fact:
Scottish Terriers became especially popular during the 19th century thanks to Queen Victoria’s love of Scottish dog breeds 👑
