🎆 HAILSHAM BONFIRE WEEKEND🔥

Fireworks can be fun for us, but frightening for our pets. Help keep them calm by keeping them indoors, closing curtains and windows, turning up the TV or music, and giving them a cosy, safe space to retreat to. Stay calm and reassuring, and make sure doors and windows are secure. We have a range of Pet Remedy items at our practice such as sprays, infusers and plug-ins which prove helpful in these seasons.
A little preparation can make a big difference. Let’s keep our pets safe, settled and stress-free this fireworks season! 💕🐈🐕

Autumn Observations! 🍂

Conkers are toxic to dogs and can also cause a physical blockage if swallowed.
Toxicity from conkers can include 👉

-Vomiting and diarrhoea
-Drooling or abdominal pain
-Weakness or wobbliness
-In more serious cases, tremors, seizures or collapse.

If your dog has eaten a conker, contact the practice promptly, even if they currently seem fine. Healthy animals. Happy owners. 💕

We are looking for a receptionist to join our team.

It’s a busy, fast-paced role, so we are looking for someone who enjoys a varied day, is able to stay calm when things get busy and can confidently juggle different priorities.

We are looking for someone friendly, reliable and confident dealing with clients and their beloved pets.
Client care experience is essential, with previous reception experience desirable.

Working pattern:
🐾 30–35 hours per week
🐾 4 days a week
🐾 Shifts between 8am–7pm
🐾 1 in 5 Saturday mornings
🐾 Must be able to travel between Hailsham and Polegate

Today is World Rabies Day 👉
Today we raise awareness of rabies — a preventable disease that still claims lives around the world.
Vaccinations, responsible pet ownership when/if travelling abroad, and knowing what to do after an animal bite or scratch can help protect both people and animals. Prevention saves lives! 🐕 🐈

This is Bobby who has been seeing our RVN Lucy for weight clinics over some time.
He is definitely a strong character and has been a little tricky to come around to the idea that he was having a little too much to eat!
Bobby's family have worked hard and stayed consistent with his feeding regime which has given us great results 👏
