❤️ FRANK IS READY TO FIND HIS FOREVER FAMILY… ❤️

It’s hard to believe how much this gorgeous boy has changed in just a couple of weeks. 🥹

When Frank first arrived, he was still finding his feet and figuring out the world around him. Now? He has well and truly come out of his shell and we are completely in love with him. ❤️

Frank is 16 weeks old, incredibly handsome, loving, playful and full of that wonderful puppy personality we all adore.

He loves playing with his doggy pals, causing a little bit of mischief 🤭 and then, when he’s worn himself out, he’s more than happy to curl up for a lovely snooze.

Frank is the most confident of his three siblings, and watching his personality blossom has been absolutely amazing.

He can live as an only dog or with a neutered female, he can live with children and, because he is still so young, we feel he is young enough to potentially adapt to living with cats with careful introductions. 🐶❤️🐱

But please, please read this part carefully…

Frank is a Presa Canario, and although he is currently a gorgeous little puppy, he won’t stay little for long.

We are looking for someone who has experience with large, powerful breeds and ideally Presa Canarios. These dogs are not for the faint-hearted. They need knowledgeable owners who understand the breed, are prepared for the commitment and will put the time, training, boundaries and socialisation into them from day one.

Frank is a blank canvas right now.

What someone puts into this boy, they will get back tenfold. ❤️

We don’t just want someone who falls in love with his beautiful face — although we completely understand why you would! 😍

We want someone who will fall in love with the commitment too. Someone who will watch him grow from this gorgeous 16-week-old puppy into the magnificent adult dog he has the potential to become.

Because somewhere out there is the person who is going to be Frank’s whole world.

And we desperately want to find them. 🏡❤️

Frank is fully vaccinated, flead and wormed and is ready to start the next chapter of his life.

Could that chapter be with you?

📩 Applications are via our website:

Please share Frank far and wide. You never know who might be scrolling through Facebook tonight thinking, “That’s my boy.” ❤️🐾

Frank deserves his forever. Let’s find it for him. 🥹❤️

UPDATE 2 - Dame Maggie is sorted - thank you everyone

UPDATE - homechecking someone from our waiting list this afternoon - will update then

🚨💔 DESPERATELY URGENT – DAME MAGGIE NEEDS A RETIREMENT HOME NOW 💔🚨

📍 Greater London
🐾 Dame Maggie – 11-year-old Golden Retriever
🐈‍⬛ No
🐕 Yes

We really, really need people to share this one.

Dame Maggie needs somewhere to go urgently. Not in a few months. Not when the perfect time comes. Now.

And the circumstances behind her surrender are absolutely heartbreaking.

Dame Maggie’s dad is undergoing treatment for terminal Stage 4 cancer. At the same time, Maggie’s long-standing anxiety has worsened significantly and her family simply cannot continue managing both.

Nobody has stopped loving her. Nobody wants to say goodbye to her.

They are dealing with the unimaginable and have reached the point where they desperately need our help.

As she has grown older, Maggie has become increasingly frightened at night. From around 8pm she can pant, pace and struggle to settle, sometimes needing somebody to stay downstairs with her into the early hours.

There are also possible age-related cognitive changes and, despite extensive veterinary treatment and medication, she still needs considerable reassurance.

But during the day?

She is an absolute sweetheart.

Gentle, docile, friendly and affectionate. She has never shown aggression, never bitten a person or another dog and has no resource guarding whatsoever.

She’s wonderful with children, including little ones, and she’s good with other dogs.

In fact, another calm dog may be exactly what Dame Maggie needs. When she stays with friends who have dogs, their presence seems to comfort her and she settles much better.

What we desperately need is someone willing to give this old lady one very simple thing:

Security at night.

Let her sleep in your bedroom. Put her bed beside yours. Let her know somebody is there when the world suddenly feels frightening.

We’re not looking for somebody to cure an 11-year-old dog.

We’re looking for somebody to love her through it.

Someone who accepts there may be disturbed nights. Someone who understands elderly dogs. Someone who can look at a frightened old Golden Retriever and say:

“Come on then, Maggie. You can stay with me.”

Dame Maggie is neutered, vaccinated and housetrained. She walks nicely, has recall, can happily be left for a few hours during the daytime and can live with children and potentially a calm dog. No cats.

She’ll arrive with all her belongings…

Including her bunny, with which Dame Maggie is apparently completely obsessed. ❤️

Please don’t scroll past this thinking somebody else will offer.

Right now, that somebody hasn’t appeared.

We urgently need a safe, loving retirement home for Maggie so that the family who adore her can concentrate on the devastating battle they already have in front of them.

At 11 years old, this lovely old girl shouldn’t face an uncertain future.

What she needs is heartbreakingly simple.

A warm bed. A person nearby. Reassurance when darkness comes. And somebody prepared to love her for however long she has left.

🚨 DAME MAGGIE’S SITUATION IS EXTREMELY URGENT. 🚨

Please, please share her.

Somewhere out there is her final home. We need to find it now. 💔

SOLUTION FOUND 🙏🙏🙏

🆘 SOS – URGENT FOSTER NEEDED TOMORROW - THREATENED WITH PTS 🆘 - this is not one of our Spanish dogs, but we will help him.

This is Raffles, and we urgently need an experienced foster home for him from TOMORROW.

Raffles is around a year old and was found abandoned on the side of a road in France in May, in an area sadly well known for hunting dogs being dumped. He wasn’t microchipped and, with no shelter able to take him, the couple who found him cared for him for a month before bringing him back to the UK.

During that month, Raffles lived and travelled in a campervan with four female dogs. He went everywhere with them, travelled for eight hours by train across France and then continued his journey to Cornwall. He was affectionate, loving and extremely well behaved.

He is now living near Holsworthy/Bude with an older couple. Raffles became very attached to the husband, but he has now returned to work and his wife, who is 80 years old, is being left to manage a large, young hound on her own. He is simply too much for her to physically handle.

Since the husband returned to work, Raffles has been struggling with separation anxiety. He has also started jumping up for food and has recently barked and growled at other dogs while on the lead.

We also need to be completely transparent about one incident. A builder entered the house and Raffles bit him.

Raffles has shown ZERO aggression previously or since.

Given his history and the circumstances, it may have been a territorial response to an unfamiliar person entering his home, although of course we cannot know that for certain. We will not hide the incident, but equally we don’t want one incident to define a young dog who has previously shown himself to be affectionate, sociable and able to live happily alongside other dogs.

He previously lived with four female dogs and is currently living with a female Wolfhound.

Raffles is:

🐾 Around 1 year old
🐾 Neutered
🐾 Vaccinated and up to date
🐾 Microchipped
🐾 EU passport
🐾 Toilet trained
🐾 Affectionate and cuddly
🐾 Used to living with female dogs

What we urgently need is an experienced dog or hound person who understands that Raffles needs structure, routine, boundaries and time to settle.

No children, please, and any resident dogs would need sensible, careful introductions.

This young dog has had an enormous amount of upheaval in just a few months. He was abandoned in France, taken in by people who loved and cared for him, transported to another country and then had to adjust to another home. Now the person he has bonded most strongly with is away at work and he is struggling.

We don’t want Raffles to lose his life because his current home is no longer the right environment for him.

🚨 HE NEEDS TO MOVE TOMORROW. 🚨

Raffles is currently near HOLSWORTHY/BUDE.

We would prefer to keep him in the South of England if at all possible, but finding the right experienced foster is the priority and WE CAN ARRANGE TRANSPORT.

If you can offer Raffles a foster home, please MESSAGE US DIRECTLY as soon as possible.

And PLEASE SHARE. We need this to reach experienced hound people tonight. 🙏🐾

❤️💘🍀🙏OPEN HEARTS FOR BABY BRAMBLE. This little lady Staffy cross is new into our care. Baby Bramble is approximately six to eight months old and is yet again another abandoned Yorkshire stray. Bramble was picked up as a stray with a collar and a torn lead. She is a very loving and friendly pup however has received little guidance and boundaries. She adores cuddles and being with people. Her special adopters and ourselves will now be dedicating time and patience and working from scratch. We desperately need to find Bramble a new start in a foster with a view to adopt in the next week. This lady has received very little in life so far and deserves all the love and kindness in the world. She is one of many failed young dogs that find themselves in stray kennels.😭 Please help us to change Bramble's life as soon as possible.

❤️💘🍀🙏Baby Bramble will have a profile page on our website very soon. She will be having a full health check tomorrow. WE WELCOME SUPPORT, SHARES AND HELP FOR THIS YOUNG STAFFY CROSS BREED. THANK YOU SO MUCH. www.goodlifedogrescue.co.uk
