☀️ Important Hot Weather Notice ☀️

With extreme heat forecast this coming week, and the likelihood of high temperatures continuing throughout summer, we’d like to remind everyone that heat stroke in dogs is extremely serious and can be fatal.

For the welfare of all dogs in our care, we will not be able to accept any dogs showing signs of heat stress on arrival. You will still be charged.

🐾 If you have no option but to walk your dog to us, please message us as soon as possible so we can prioritise you for one of our earlier appointments.

🚗 If you are driving, please park directly outside for both drop-off and collection to minimise your dog’s time in the heat.

To help keep all dogs safe and comfortable, we will be:
•Using air conditioning and fans throughout the salon
•Providing plenty of fresh water
• Avoiding heat on our dryers, which means grooms may take a little longer than usual

📱 Please do not loiter outside or come into the salon this adds more pressure and distracts dogs making grooming take even longer. Please wait for our text messages and we will let you know when your dog is ready. Please be as punctual as possible.

⏰ We will also be adjusting our opening hours during hot weather, opening earlier and closing earlier each day to help protect both the dogs and our staff. Welfare will always be our MAIN PRIORITY.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to keep everyone’s dogs

☀️ Heatwave Notice ☀️

With the hotter weather expected over the next week or so, the comfort and safety of your dogs is our top priority 🐶💛

The salon is air conditioned and there will always be plenty of fresh water available to keep everyone cool and comfortable. To help manage the temperature safely, we will be using the dryers on cool/no heat settings where needed.

This does mean grooming appointments may take a little longer than usual, especially for thicker or double-coated breeds, as coats will naturally take longer to dry without added heat. PLEASE wait for your text to confirm they are ready hovering around distracting your dog or interrupting grooms only makes it take longer.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding while we make sure all dogs stay safe, calm, and comfortable during the warmer weather 🌡️🐾

Please also be mindful of walking your dogs to salon, if they arrive already over hot we will turn you away and charge in full.

Regular professional grooming is not just about keeping your dog looking tidy and like a teddy bear — it plays an important role in their overall health and welfare.

Maintenance grooming focuses on keeping the coat clean, brushed, and manageable between appointments, while welfare grooming is essential for preventing pain and discomfort caused by matting, overgrown nails, blocked ears, and poor skin condition.
All of this is why routine grooming visits allow professionals to spot potential health concerns early and help ensure your dog stays comfortable, healthy, and happy all year round.

Grooming intervals for most dogs 6-8 weeks, grooming intervals for poodle mixes 4-6 weeks why? Because the coats are much more dense and prone to severe matting. VIP members are discounted grooms plus free add ons such as teeth cleaning. 🧼

As the weather gets warmer, ticks become much more active and can pose a serious risk to dogs.

These tiny parasites are commonly found in long grass, woodland areas, and parks, where they can attach to your dog during walks.

Tick bites may cause irritation and can also spread diseases, so it’s important to check your dog regularly, especially around the ears, neck, paws, and underbelly.

Using vet-recommended tick prevention treatments and removing ticks promptly can help keep your dog safe this season. We offer tick removal £5 walk in service daily.

Notice. We are now in spring which means shedding season is well and truly upon us and we are also covering for 3 local groomers who are off work this means we are increasingly busy with 4 staff and bathers in to help and have a minimum of a 2 week wait list for appointments this is increasing fast so please please to avoid disappointment please book in advance.

You should all get your 6 weekly reminders to book ahead. Alternatively please book your next appointment or two when you collect dogs.

Due to also being so busy getting back to everyone also takes time please be patient leave a message send a text and we will get back to you coming into salon won’t make it any quicker as we are tending to a very busy salon and cannot leave dogs unattended.
