Team Patch deserves a HUGE shout-out today!

Patch came to us as a rescue and, alongside his handler, is training to become an assistance dog. They’ve had their challenges along the way, and Patch is also known for getting VERY excited in class — jumping, stealing cones, having a nibble… basically being Patch! 😂

Yesterday, I brought him out to demonstrate emergency handling — safely restraining your dog when needed in an emergency, including being able to hold and extend a leg calmly, as you may need to do during veterinary treatment such as taking blood.

And Patch?

He was absolutely fantastic. 🥹

He stood beautifully, allowed the handling and showed just how much progress this team has made.

To some, it might look like a small thing.

To Team Patch?

It's a MASSIVE milestone. 🐾

I could honestly have cried with pride.

Well done, Team Patch! 👏

And if you'd like to see where this brilliant team goes next, follow along and join us on their journey. Bond and Behave

This was such a great training opportunity. The teams who took part learned so much - thank you East Lothian Courier

Could your dog stay calm around firefighters and emergency vehicles? 🐾

Did you spot Bond and Behave in the newspaper last week?

A brilliant article was written about our assistance dog training trip to ODEON Cinemas at Fort Kinnaird ☺️

A great way to celebrate all our teams successes ☺️

I would like to say a massive well done to Team Blaven today 😍😍

Today Blaven learned the start of his tasks - after a lot of work in the background this was his first session working with a tumble dryer, He was amazing! Almost got in it at one point 😆🤩

From a random cone thief as a puppy, to being in Level 3 learning his tasks that will give his handler independence Blaven truly is a super smart spaniel! He has really grown into a mature dog who is willing to learn and try new things.

Well done to this team 👏🏻

Team Tod’s Adventures 🐾

A lovely outing for Tod, our assistance dog in training, at an event at his handlers local pumptrack! 🐶🚲

Tod did amazingly well, especially considering just how busy it became. Bikes whizzing around, children running about, the smell of the pizza van, and a DJ playing music — there was a lot going on!

Despite all the distractions, Tod handled himself brilliantly and took everything in his stride. 🥰

These kinds of real-world outings are such an important part of an assistance dog’s training. It’s not just about practising in quiet, controlled environments — it’s about gradually experiencing the sights, sounds, smells and unpredictability of everyday life.

Another brilliant adventure for Tod! 💜🐾

From puppy to best friend.

Very proud of Bond and Behave last night 👏🏻

We attended the East Lothian and Midlothian Business Awards 2026.

Earlier this year I found out that Bond and Behave had been put forward for Best Innovation in Business - sponsored by Hargreaves Land

Last night we attended the awards ceremony with Board members: Janice, Jimmy, Callum, Karen and Myself, and assistance dog teams : Millie, Ricksen and of course Miss Molly!

We were so proud to be put forward for this award and to be a finalist - WOW 😳

We were up against some amazing competition and a massive well done to Saltire Patisserie Ltd who claimed the win 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

We are still so proud of our achievement and had a brilliant night ☺️

Many thanks to Lee Live: Photographer for these amazing photos 🥰

Happy 4th Birthday to Miss Molly! 🥳🎊🎈🎉

Can't believe it's been 4 years and I still remember the night I brought her home, she almost darted out the car - in the dark 😲😳

So glad she decided to stick with me though and now she is like a little shadow 😆 I love her completely 🥰
