Thinking about training your own assistance dog?-

Our next Level 1 Assistance Dog Training Class starts 6th October 2026 — and we now have just 2 spaces remaining!

Level 1 is designed for owner-trained assistance dog teams who are ready to build the foundations needed for life as an assistance dog team, including:

- Focus and engagement
- Learning & reinforcement skills
- Canine body language & welfare
- Real-life public access foundations
- Handler skills & advocacy
- Building a strong working partnership

If you're looking for structured support to train your own assistance dog, this could be your opportunity to join us.

Starts: 6th October 2026
Weekly classes held at: The Pennypit Centre, Prestonpans
Time: 1pm-2pm
Only 2 spaces available

Once these spaces are filled, the class is full.

With just 2 spaces remaining, these places will complete our October 2026 intake. Once filled, there will be no further spaces available, with our next intake expected around mid-2027.

Team Dilly helping their handler attend an important medical appointment.

Here they are settled in their GP waiting room, combining 'middle', 'settle' and 'deep pressure therapy', Dilly is helping her handler stay independent and ensuring her handler gains confidence.

Important information posted by East Lothian Council ☺️

A reminder that dog owners have important responsibilities when walking their pets in East Lothian’s countryside.
Dogs that are not controlled properly can cause serious concern to farmers, land managers, other dog walkers, and members of the public.
Out of control dogs can worry or attack livestock and other dogs, disturb wildlife, and cause alarm to visitors to the countryside, including children.
In Scotland, you can walk your dog on most land as long as you follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code which can be found here: https://orlo.uk/BIPq3
Key points for all dog walkers:

• Do not allow your dog to approach other animals or people uninvited.

• Always keep your dog in your line of vision and under control at all times. If in doubt, use a lead.

• If your dog fouls in a public space then ‘bag it and bin it’.

TAKEN - Wow that went quickly!! This class space has now been taken.

Rare pet class space available.

We have 1 pet space available in our Tuesday night classes 5pm-6pm, held at the Pennypit Centre, Prestonpans.

This class is suitable for any breed of pet dog over the age of 6+ months.

We would like to give a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Haddington fire station staff for allowing some of our teams to come and view their training session.

Not only was this an amazing experience for our Assistance dogs in training, but also a real life experience that just can't be replicated in a classroom!

We honestly cannot thank you enough for your time, kindness and this amazing opportunity.

Well done to all teams who trained tonight - you all did me and so proud! You should all be proud of yourself and this massive achievement.

Spaces have opened up in our next Companion Dog Training block — and this is a bit of a rarity!

🐶 Any age. Any breed.

Our companion dog classes are suitable for dogs of all ages and breeds, whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to build on the skills your dog already has.

We tailor each class to the dogs attending and their individual skill levels, rather than expecting every dog to work through exactly the same exercises at exactly the same pace.

Our focus is on practical skills that make everyday life easier, while helping you better understand and communicate with your dog.

⚠️ Numbers are strictly limited — and we only have about 2 spaces available!

Oh my goodness! What a day!

10 teams - 1 goal - a visit to the cinema!

Yes Bond and Behave went on tour today and grouped up with ODEON Cinemas at Fort Kinnaird!

Our teams practiced entering, queuing for tickets, navigating tight dark spaces, finding a seat, settling , the loud sounds, the bright large screen and working in a public access space!

Every team did amazing and they should be so proud of themselves!

We are very thankful for this real life experience at the cinema, having had the whole screen to ourselves! For some of our clients this was their first time back in a cinema in over 6 years!

Teams now have the confidence to do this form of outing again by themselves - I am so very proud of each of them!! Well done everyone! 👏🏻
