💔💔Today marks one whole year since beautiful Stig passed away 💔💔

The bravest most friendly hamster we've ever had in with the most heartbreaking story 💔

For our new followers Stig arrived to us via the rspca who we're called out to a hamster in a cage found abandoned by bins in winter 😡

Many people walked past thinking it was just an empty cage put out by the bins to be collected with the rubbish.

Thankfully a kind person checked & inside was an elderly, neglected hamster suffering an awful skin condition 😢
Stig improved hugely but we always knew his time with us would be short 💔

On the 25th Aug 2025 we exchanged his pain for ours & he crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈

Gone but never forgotten 💔 This boy took a piece of our heart with him 💙

A year later... Has the animal crisis improved? No its much worse 😡

There is quite often a lot going on behind the scenes here & situations we are unable to share publicity.

But we can now share the tragic story of Helga piggy 💔

This beautiful lady arrived to us with an awful case of mange mites, If mites are left untreated for a long time it can lead to seizures & this is sadly what happened to Helga 😢

She was very poorly & after the seizure lost the use of her back legs, We hoped with time, tlc & rehabilitation she might regain some use so to help with recovery she moved to our wonderful friend & foster home Alison 💕

Helga had months of care & love and was bonded with a friend but eventually developed complications & sadly was PTS last week 💔💔

Her last few bills have amounted to £204.00 at Kettering v4p

We are not a rehoming centre, we have no rehoming income & fund everything ourselves & rely on donations from our kind & generous followers.

We appreciate how tight money is for everyone but if just half of our followes donated just £1 each to our vet fund it would be hugely appreciated & make a massive difference 🙏

🐢🐢We have another stray Tortoise with us 🐢🐢

This one has served a stray hold at the vets & been advertised but sadly not been claimed & isn't one of the ones reported missing.

The Tortoise was found at a BP garage in Milton Keynes.

Sadly the Tortoise is very poorly 😢 It has MBD which has caused a severely deformed shell, The beak is also deformed & overgrown causing issues eating 😢

Please contact us asap if you believe the Tortoise is yours with photo ID.

💙🐰Happy 5th Gotcha day Knowl💙🐰

Our long term followers will remember the story of one of the most heartbreaking rescues we've ever done 💔

5 Years ago today we were alerted to 6 baby rabbits abandoned at Teardrop lakes in Knowlhill Milton Keynes, We will spare you the most horrific details but sadly Knowl was the only survivor 😢

Due to an off lead out of control dog the other 4 were killed 💔 3 by the dog, 1 drowned trying to escape & we safely caught 2, Sadly one died that night.

Knowl was traumatised & only around a month old, So spent weeks by our bedside 💙

Because of his ordeal we decided to keep Knowl & he's now happily married to Nancy 💕

My hairdressing skills have not improved... but Boris doesn't care what he looks like, he just wants to be cool & comfortable 💙

Sadly we are seeing an increase in these fancy breeds coming into rescue due to over breeding 😢

While rescues are full of piggies needing homes there's no need to breed more 🤦‍♀️

Its been a crazy busy week 😳

Last week was brutal trying to keep everyone cool & comfortable during the heatwave 🥵

Usually this time of year our animals have an abundance of grass & weeds to eat but there is nothing so were spending a fortune on extra fresh food & hay 🐰🐢

We're busy trying to juggle lots of animals needing help 🐹

And then.... during the hottest day we heard crying & found a litter of 5 Hoglets out in the day crying for mum 😢 We hoped she would return & come looking for them & had wildlife cameras out but she never returned, The babies were already weak & dehydrated so we began handrearing them.

Sadly its likely she's either passed away or abandoned them due to her milk drying up because she was dehydrated herself 💔

Please Please put lots of shallow bowls of water out 💧
Our wildlife is desperate for your help 🙏

After a few days with us the hoglets improved & we took them onto the next stage in their journey to Tiggywinkles 🦔

Beautiful Persian Cross Kittens needing homes 🏡

REHOMED - Edward (in photo) and Eric are a pair of beautiful Persian cross kittens born 14/05/26. They have been flea and worm treated, have been microchipped and had their 1st vaccination. They can return to one of our vets in Rushden, Northampton, Swadlincote or Tamworth for their FREE 2nd vaccination and FREE neutering once old enough. These kittens will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

​Edward and Eric were born to a blue Persian mum who arrived in a terrible state and had been straying for a while. We quickly shaved her off and got her comfortable because with a huge matt of fur under her chin she couldn’t even clean her newborns.

​Sadly mum was taken ill when her babies got to nearly 4 weeks old with a high temperature and she had to stay at the vets for a drip and antibiotics leaving us with very upset babies who wouldn't take bottles or lap food but we got them through and they have since thrived. Mum was later diagnosed with HCM a heart condition. Edward and Eric have had their heart checked and all is well.

​Edward and Eric are super confident, friendly and mischievous kittens who have had the best care and been very well socialised. Edward and Eric will need to have a home with previous experience of owning a very long haired/Persian cat and committed to daily grooming as these coats take a lot of work. These kittens need a home with a nice large well equipped catio or a cat proofed garden.

​Edward and Eric are used to other neutered felines, friendly dogs and can live with sensible children aged 6yrs and over.

​Edward and Eric are clean in the litter tray currently using lightweight litter. Both Kittens are currently eating Royal Canin kitten food, Whiskas and Applaws kitten food they love raw minced beef too. This is perfect for them and all have settled tummies on this diet as being half Persian it has been trial and error with their diet.

​Being fostered in Rushden, Northants. Elliott and Ezra can be rehomed further afield (please bear in mind the need to return for their second vaccination and neutering) subject to a successful home check and an adoption donation of £175 per kitten.
