So the challange has been set to teach the husband to ride , having moved to our wonderful new yard 6 months ago , it was agreed if a suitable horse came our way we would give it a go ,
I wasn’t convinced my husband was actually that serious so I didn’t take a lot of notice of the ‘ when am I getting a horse chatter ‘ Untill ‘ sir Elvis ‘ or now more recently Saint Elvis 😇 ,was in the building and I thought to myself he’s got a lovely kind temperament and a gentle way about him , so I introduced them to each other over a b**r one evening and well the rest is history and it’s now a full blown love affair 🥰🥰🥰

I think it’s coming up a week now that paddy has had all the proper gear and is able to start to learn properly and I have to say seems fully committed ( for now )
With the help from Patrick Murphy ,who has the patience of a saint , he has nearly mastered the rising trot and is hacking out solo with his dogs it tow
So we are going to log his journey to prove your never to old to take on a new challenge, and age is just a number ( quite a high one in fact 😜 )
life is to short so give everything a go while you can 🤪

First sit on the duchess ,she’s settling in well ,such a sweet gentle soul who just wants to please ,a forward going fun type , who will suit a variety of jobs

Just a little Aimee appreciation post
Can’t believe this little Beauty hasn’t found her family yet ,she is the safest sweetest 4 year old I’ve ever known and can be ridden by any member of the family ,

Hi thanks for letting me ride Aimee-what’s a dream! I haven’t ever ridden a 4 year old but I reckon even a kid could ride her! She’s so sweet natured. We had a bit of a canter with Hunter in front too 👍🏻

When your non horsey husband decides he’s wants to star in the next series of Yellowstone and steals the horse that is supposed to be being sold 🙄
Young Elvis is definitely ‘ novice husband friendly ‘ but not sure I’ll be selling him any time soon though 🙈
