Meet gorgeous 4-month-old Sprocker Spaniel Merlin, who has joined us for a 3-week residential puppy training stay! 🐶❤️

We've had the pleasure of training Merlin's older housemates over the years, so it's lovely to welcome the newest addition to the family!

Merlin is a typical young spaniel — full of beans, enthusiasm and a huge love for life! 😂

Over the next three weeks, we'll be focusing on:

🐾 Building a reliable whistle recall
🐾 Calm, loose-lead walking
🐾 General obedience & puppy manners
🐾 Settling & switching off at home
🐾 Focus and engagement around distractions
🐾 Building confidence around other dogs
🐾 Positive experiences with larger, bouncier dogs
🐾 Impulse control & everyday life skills

Merlin can feel a little unsure around other dogs, particularly larger, enthusiastic ones, so we'll be helping him build confidence through carefully managed, positive experiences.

Our home-based residential puppy training helps establish great habits early, from recall and lead walking to confidence building and socialisation.

What a difference three weeks of residential puppy training have made for gorgeous Golden Retriever Bear! 😍

When Bear arrived, he was a typical enthusiastic puppy, struggling with jumping up, nipping, chewing curtains and staying focused when the world got exciting!

Three weeks later, he's heading home with some fantastic new skills! 🎉

🐾 From pulling on walks ➡️ Walking much more calmly on a loose lead!

🐾 From getting distracted by everything ➡️ Listening and responding in busy towns, parks and shopping centres!

🐾 From puppy nipping & jumping ➡️ Showing much calmer manners at home!

🐾 From chewing curtains ➡️ Learning to settle and enjoy appropriate chews and toys instead!

🐾 From struggling around distractions ➡️ Building a lovely recall and better engagement, even around other dogs!

We've also established a routine that gives Bear the rest, enrichment and structure he needs, making a huge difference to his behaviour at home. ❤️

Bear is still a young puppy with plenty to learn, but he's made brilliant progress and has some fantastic foundations for his family to continue building on.

Gorgeous 5-month-old Red Fox Labrador Daisy has completed her 3-week residential puppy training stay, including an introduction to Assistance Dog training! 🦮✨

And what a fantastic start she's made! 😍

Daisy arrived as a bright, bouncy puppy with lots to learn, and she's heading home with some brilliant foundations for her future.

Over the past three weeks, she's achieved:

🐾 From learning the basics ➡️ Responding to sit, down, wait, leave it and middle!

🐾 From a developing recall ➡️ Coming back enthusiastically with fantastic recall for her age!

🐾 From puppy chewing ➡️ Learning to make better choices and leave those expensive household items alone! 😂

🐾 From being a busy little puppy ➡️ Learning to settle calmly on her bed!

🐾 From puppy obedience ➡️ Taking her first steps towards Assistance Dog work!

🐾 From having no medical alert training ➡️ Being introduced to the foundations of medical alert work and her touch cue!

Daisy is still very much a puppy, but she's made a wonderful start towards becoming an Assistance Dog, and we can't wait to see how she progresses. ❤️

🐾 Cockapoo Residential Training | Cookie & Ruby’s 4 Month Transformation! 🐾

Meet Cookie and Ruby, two gorgeous 5-year-old Cockapoos who are heading home after an incredible **4-month residential dog training stay**! ❤️

Their biggest challenges included barking at visitors, fighting over attention, pulling on the lead, unreliable recall and overexcitement around other dogs.

Four months later, what a difference! 😍

Here's what they've achieved:

🐾 Visitor greetings – From barking and competing for attention to calmly going to their beds on cue and waiting politely to say hello.

🐾 Fighting over attention – Their improved impulse control and calmer greetings have completely stopped the fighting between them.

🐾 Loose lead walking – Both girls now walk beautifully without pulling.

🐾 Recall around dogs – Much more reliable recall and improved social skills.

What a transformation after their 4-month residential training stay! 😍

We’ve known these gorgeous 5-year-old Cockapoos since they were puppies, and after four months of dedicated training, they’re heading home with some fantastic results!

One of their biggest challenges was getting overexcited when visitors arrived, barking and competing for attention, which could sometimes lead to fights between them.

Now look at the difference! 🎉

🐾 From barking at visitors ➡️ Calmly going to their beds on cue and waiting patiently to say hello!

🐾 From competing and fighting for attention ➡️ Relaxing together and greeting visitors politely, with the fighting completely stopped!

Meet gorgeous 5-month-old Labrador Milo, who has joined us for a 2-week residential stay as he continues his journey towards becoming an Assistance Dog! 🦮✨

Milo's family have already put some fantastic foundations in place, so we'll be helping him build on those skills and develop the confidence, focus and calmness he'll need as he approaches adolescence.

🐾 Brussels Griffon Training | Kylo’s 4 Week Residential Stay 🐾

Meet Kylo, a gorgeous 4-year-old Brussels Griffon who has completed his 4-week residential dog training stay! 💙

Kylo came to us with a particularly unpleasant habit — eating poo on walks (coprophagia)! 🤢 Not only was this frustrating for his owner, but it regularly left him with an upset stomach.

Interestingly, Kylo didn't attempt to eat poo at all during his stay, despite having opportunities!

Instead, we focused on building the skills to help prevent the behaviour when he returned home.

Over four weeks, we worked on:

🐾 Impulse control around food and poo
🐾 Leave It and responding to distractions
🐾 Engagement and focus on walks
🐾 Regular check-ins with his handler
🐾 General obedience and responsiveness
🐾 Calmness and settling

Rather than simply interrupting Kylo when he found something undesirable, we focused on changing how he approaches his walks, encouraging him to stay connected with his handler and make better choices.

Well done, Kylo! 💙🐾

Meet gorgeous 7-month-old Chocolate Labrador Cybil, who has joined us for a 3-week residential training stay! 🤎🐶

Cybil is a typical enthusiastic adolescent Labrador, full of energy, excitement and plenty of strength behind her! 😂

Her biggest challenge is barking at other dogs, and with her excitement often taking over on walks, loose-lead walking can be a struggle too.

Over the next three weeks, we'll be focusing on:

🐾 Reducing barking around other dogs
🐾 Building calmness & neutrality on walks
🐾 Loose-lead walking without pulling
🐾 Developing focused heelwork
🐾 Engagement around distractions

Meet Bobby! 💜 This clever boy has been learning to retrieve dropped items during his assistance dog residential training, developing practical skills that will make everyday life easier for his owner.
