After 6 weeks residential training with us, little Milla is heading home on Monday 💛🐾

When Milla arrived, she was finding the world a very overwhelming place. Encounters with other dogs often led to intense reactions, and busy environments were simply too much for her to process comfortably.

Over the last six weeks, we’ve focused on helping Milla feel safer, calmer, and more confident in her surroundings. Rather than immediately responding with barking and panic, she’s learning how to take in information, make better choices, and recover from challenging situations much more quickly.

While there is still plenty of work ahead for this lovely little girl, she has made some fantastic progress during her stay. Her reactions are generally less intense, she’s able to respond to simple cues around other dogs, and she’s showing much better resilience after difficult moments.

Milla is a very sensitive soul who will continue to benefit from thoughtful handling, structure, and ongoing support as she navigates the world. We’re incredibly proud of everything she’s achieved during her time with us.

She has also completely stolen our hearts. Her cuddles, funny little personality, and tiny fluffy presence have made her impossible not to love, and we’re all going to miss her very much. We can’t wait to watch her confidence continue to grow back at home. 🐶✨

If your dog is struggling with reactivity, confidence, recall, lead walking, or general life skills, our residential training stays provide intensive one-to-one support tailored to your dog’s individual needs.

🩵 Welcome, Stanley! 🩵

Stanley the Miniature Pinscher has joined us for a 3-week residential training stay, and we’re excited to get started with him.

At 2 years old, Stanley has been navigating a challenging adolescent phase. Like many young dogs, he’s started testing the boundaries of his training, with his recall becoming less reliable, lead pulling increasing, and some unpredictable reactions towards other dogs appearing on walks.

Over the next three weeks, we’ll be focusing on:

✅ Building a more reliable recall, even around wildlife and other dogs
✅ Improving focus and engagement with his handler outdoors
✅ Assessing and working through his reactivity towards other dogs
✅ Developing better lead walking skills
✅ Increasing impulse control and responsiveness in distracting environments

One of the biggest goals for Stanley’s stay is helping him learn how to switch off and relax when out and about. Currently, stopping at cafés, pubs, and other public places can be difficult for him, with frustration and agitation often leading to overtiredness and unwanted behaviours.

We’ll be spending plenty of time working on:

☕ Calm settling in public places
🧘 Relaxation and emotional regulation
🐾 Learning that not every outing has to be exciting
💤 Building the ability to rest and recharge while out with his family

We can’t wait to watch Stanley’s confidence, focus, and life skills grow over the coming weeks.

🐾 Harry the Staffie has headed home after his 4-week residential training stay! 🐾

Harry is one of those dogs who absolutely loves life... and everyone in it! 😅 His biggest challenge was managing his excitement around people and other dogs, often launching himself enthusiastically at anyone who dared make eye contact.

During his stay, we’ve focused on building strong foundations that his family can continue to develop at home, including:

✅ Better focus around distractions
✅ Improved impulse control around dogs and people
✅ Learning how to disengage from exciting situations
✅ Calmer lead walking skills
✅ Building the ability to recover more quickly when excitement levels rise

Harry still has those classic Staffie enthusiasm bursts (and we wouldn’t want to take away his wonderful personality!), but he is now much more responsive and able to work through those moments successfully.

We’re incredibly proud of the progress he’s made and can’t wait to see what he achieves next with his family continuing the hard work at home. ❤️

Today we say goodbye to the wonderful Noggin as he heads home after completing another stage of his assistance dog journey with us.

Noggin first joined us for 11 weeks of residential training and recently returned for a further 7-week stay as part of our Full Assistance Dog Pathway Programme, designed to take dogs from novice level through to Public Access Ready

Noggin has been an absolute pleasure to train. His calm nature, willingness to learn, and kind temperament have made him a favourite with the team, and we’re incredibly proud of everything he has achieved.

🐾✨ Walter’s 3-Week Residential Training Success Story ✨🐾

Meet Walter, the handsome Flatcoat Retriever who has just completed his 3-week residential training stay with us! 💙

When Walter arrived, his owners were facing some common adolescent dog challenges:

🐕 Pulling and lunging on the lead
🐕 Becoming overexcited around other dogs
🐕 Running over to greet every dog he saw
🐕 Chasing wildlife
🐕 Struggling to settle and switch off
🐕 Finding it difficult to focus around distractions

Fast forward three weeks and the transformation has been fantastic! 🌟

Through structured training, consistency, and plenty of positive reinforcement, Walter has made huge improvements in:

✅ Loose lead walking
✅ Focus and engagement with his handler
✅ Recall around distractions
✅ Remaining calm around other dogs
✅ Settling and relaxing both at home and in his crate
✅ Making better choices when out and about

One of the biggest changes has been Walter’s ability to disengage from distractions and re-focus on his handler instead of reacting impulsively. He’s learned that staying connected to his humans is rewarding, fun, and far more exciting than chasing every distraction that comes his way!

Walter is such a clever, affectionate boy and has been an absolute pleasure to train. Like many adolescent dogs, he simply needed clear guidance, structure, and consistency to help him reach his full potential.

We’re incredibly proud of how far he’s come and can’t wait to see him continue progressing with his family at home. 🥰

Well done, Walter! We’re going to miss you! 🐾💙

After an incredible 3-month residential dog training stay with us, Pacha the Weimaraner is officially heading home 💛

Pacha joined us alongside his housemates, Benji and Boffin, and together they had been finding everyday life increasingly overwhelming — especially living in a busy part of London with constant exposure to dogs, people, traffic, and fast-paced environments.

As a group, the dogs had developed strong reactive behaviours both at home and out in public. Walks had become stressful, excitement levels escalated quickly, and they often fed off each other’s energy.

When Pacha first arrived, he struggled with:
🐾 Barking and reacting to dogs and people
🐾 Pulling heavily on the lead
🐾 Becoming overstimulated in busy environments
🐾 Barking and reacting from the car
🐾 Difficulty settling calmly around distractions
🐾 Group arousal and feeding into the other dogs’ reactions

Over the past 3 months, we’ve focused on helping Pacha build calmness, engagement, emotional regulation, and better decision-making — both individually and alongside his housemates.

And the transformation has been incredible ✨

During Pacha’s residential training programme, we worked on:

✨ Calm lead walking in busy public spaces
✨ Neutrality around dogs and people
✨ Calm car travel and controlled exits from the vehicle
✨ Reducing reactivity and overarousal
✨ Building focus and engagement with handlers
✨ Learning how to disengage from distractions instead of reacting
✨ Settling calmly rather than feeding off group energy

One of the biggest breakthroughs for Pacha has been his ability to slow down, process the environment more calmly, and look for guidance instead of immediately reacting.

That’s such an important part of training reactive and overstimulated dogs.

He is now able to:
✔ Walk far more calmly through busy environments
✔ Pass dogs and people with significantly improved neutrality
✔ Travel calmly in the car without constant barking
✔ Exit the vehicle in a much more relaxed and controlled manner
✔ Walk politely on the lead with greatly reduced pulling
✔ Settle and switch off far more effectively 🏡

Pacha is still very much a dog who will need continued consistency, structure, and reinforcement at home — but the foundations are now there for his owners to continue building on successfully 💫

Watching him become calmer, more responsive, and more capable of coping with the world around him has been fantastic to see.

We’re incredibly proud of how far he’s come during his residential training journey 🌟

Well done Pacha 🐕✨

Lilac headed home today after her 2 week residential training stay 🤎

This clever little fox red Labrador is following our full assistance dog pathway and will be joining us for multiple stays as she grows and progresses through her training journey 🐾

During this stay we focused on building engagement in different environments, improving neutrality around dogs and distractions, and helping guide her through all the excitement that comes with being a young adolescent puppy.

Lilac is a bright, driven girl with a lovely foundation already in place and huge potential moving forward. We’ve loved helping her continue building confidence, emotional regulation, and calm decision making out and about in the real world.

She’s still very young, but she has all the ingredients to grow into a fantastic assistance dog and companion with the right continued guidance, structure, and consistency at home 🤎

Our full Assistance Dog Pathway is designed to support dogs and handlers from puppyhood right through to advanced public access and task training, combining residential training, online learning, in-person support, and ongoing trainer guidance every step of the way.

Whether you’re starting with a young puppy or an older dog, we tailor the journey to each individual team 🐕‍🦺✨

“The secret to raising a confident puppy? It’s not just walks.”

Trick training is one of the most underrated parts of raising a well-rounded puppy 👏

When we teach tricks, we’re not just teaching “cute” behaviours… we’re teaching puppies HOW to learn.

✨ Confidence
✨ Focus
✨ Body awareness
✨ Engagement
✨ Problem solving
✨ Optimism around training
✨ The ability to work around distractions

Puppies that enjoy learning often become easier to train in every other area too — from recall and lead walking to settling calmly in public.

Tricks also help build a stronger relationship between you and your dog while giving them healthy mental enrichment that tires the brain as well as the body 🐶

Comment “ACADEMY” below to access our step-by-step video tutorials teaching everything from novice to champion level tricks, plus the chance to earn official Trick Dog Titles along the way 🏆

From novice pet dog to fully qualified Assistance Dog 🐾✨

Ruby the Labradoodle has officially completed an incredible 19-week residential training journey with us — transforming from a much-loved pet into a fully trained Assistance Dog ready to support her owner in everyday life. 💙

During her stay, Ruby worked through the complete pathway:

✔️ Foundation obedience
✔️ Public access training
✔️ Advanced focus & neutrality
✔️ Settle work in busy environments
✔️ Task training
✔️ Real-world exposure & confidence building

To top it all off, Ruby and her owner successfully passed their Public Access Test together, and Ruby has now been approved to fly home with British Airways as a recognised Assistance Dog ✈️🐶

We are so proud of both Ruby and her owner for all the hard work they’ve put in throughout this journey.

Our Full Assistance Dog Pathway is designed to take dogs from beginner level right through to fully qualified Assistance Dog status. Most dogs complete this over approximately 16 weeks split across 4 residential stays as they mature and progress through training stages — but for suitable adult dogs like Ruby, the pathway can also be completed in one longer immersive stay.

Whether you’re starting with a young puppy or an older dog with potential, we can help guide you every step of the way. 🐾
