Thank you all for all the support at an absolutely shocking time! The scarlet pimpernel is back …. Certainly for Halloween anyway but hopefully onto a quieter less dazzling and bright ward very soon 🥰

Gundogs walk.

The labs and the springer having some time before they have to do a bit of obedience for the rest of the walk.
Both breeds have completely different whistle tones and commands but it’s important to make sure you follow the owners instructions implicitly these dogs can be ruined in a single walk easily hence why many won’t use walkers who don’t understand this.
They never go far from the handler to work unless instructed so the same applies for walks.

First time in years im advertising spaces.

I have spaces available for morning and lunchtime walks Monday to Friday.

These are group walks with social steady established groups of male and female dogs of all sizes.

I’m known for taking dogs no one else will walk feel free to message if you have one.

I also walk many working dogs and will work with your commands, whistle tones etc can provide references so if you have genuine gundogs etc I know how difficult it is to get cover when you need it(I own them myself so understand).

If you need a dog walker and you’re in my area please feel free to contact me (Matt) for a no obligation chat.

I am very proud to have attended a grooming seminar today with author and grooming behaviourist Sue Williams . I have learned some strategies and techniques to try with my anxious and fearful clients all using positive and force free approaches. I have learned more about trigger stacking and the dogs brain and emotional responses and a lot of other really important things . And I have met lots of fabulous groomers and just lovely woman in general . I look forward to putting it all into practice tomorrow after a week off ! 😊❤️

Re sharing this from last year.
Early neutering has way more cons than pros and now the evidence of the huge rise in cruciate ligament damage supports our own opinion.

In conclusion, this study shows that the risk of cranial cruciate ligament disease in dogs is linked to how long they are exposed to natural s*x hormones, and the relationship isn’t simple or linear. The highest risk was seen when females were spayed before about 1054 days (just under 3 years) and males before about 805 days (a little over 2 years). These results may help define what counts as “early” spay or neuter when it comes to cranial cruciate ligament disease risk.

Veterinary reproduction specialists now recommend hormone-preserving sterilization: preventing unwanted litters & less risk of torn cruciates.
