Our four-legged blood donors 🐾🩸

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀? 🐶❤️🐱

We recently had three very special four-legged heroes — 𝗘𝗹𝘀𝗶𝗲, 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗼 — help us provide blood for patients who desperately needed it.

Blood transfusions can be an incredibly important part of veterinary care for patients who are seriously unwell, and having suitable donors available can make a huge difference when time is of the essence.

Tala, Dino and Elsie were absolute superstars and were incredibly brave while helping other patients in need.

A huge thank you to our wonderful blood donors — 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗹𝗹! ❤️

Plenty of fuss in the garden 🌿⛅️

Lovely Astrid has been an absolute pleasure to have with us for her laparoscopic spay. She’s been enjoying some fresh air in the garden, along with plenty of fuss from the team.

We understand that visiting the vets can be a stressful experience for our feline friends, which is why we’ve created an environment designed with cats in mind.

From our dedicated cat-only clinic every Wednesday and separate waiting areas, to calming support, covered carriers, LickiMats, treats and gentle handling — we take steps to help make every visit as comfortable and positive as possible.

After her spay procedure, Maggie enjoyed some time in our garden, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying some cuddles with Animal Nursing Assistant Vic.

Please give a warm welcome to Shannon, who has joined our reception team! 👋🏼

Shannon joined Wolds Veterinary Clinic as part of our Admin team, having previously worked as a Secretary at a law firm since leaving college.

Although she enjoyed her role in the legal sector, Shannon has always had a love for animals and decided it was time to follow her passion. 🐾

She loves being part of a team who are so passionate about providing the best possible care for every animal who comes through our doors. One of her favourite parts of the job is, of course, meeting all of the animals who visit us!

At home, Shannon has her own little black cat, Salem, to keep her company. She’s a firm believer that black cats deserve just as much love and attention as everyone else. 🐈‍⬛

She also has a particular soft spot for giant breeds, having a Cane Corso called Dennis. And her motto? There’s no such thing as a dog that’s too big — only laps that are too small! 🐶
