The dog training industry has got to be one of the worst and most toxic environments to work in! So I love helping talented and dedicated trainers, behaviourists and a range of other dog professionals to not only survive but thrive in their work!
Cameron joined me from Pawtential Instinct
this week on my shadowing programme and he enjoyed working with me nearly as much as he enjoyed hanging out with my boys Ludwig & Turbo 😆😆
It’s a jam packed week of working in Kent for me this week and I have several more trainers joining me for shadowing I cannot wait!!!! (I’ve hear there may be some sunshine down south too ☀️ 😄)

When you pick a dog (or partner 🤣) on looks alone you’re setting yourself and them up to fail! Looks don’t make you compatible!
2 of the breeds o would pick for their aesthetics are the Clumber Spaniel and the Bassett hound (fond memories of dukes of hazzard and Smokey & the bandit films featuring them!)
But these dogs are not a terrible fit for my lifestyle and needs!!!
Hounds are hunting dogs and have very specific needs, bassets are not known for their athletic agility or energy (working line not inc)
Clumber spaniels are the prettiest of dogs but very low enthusiasm and train ability and again low energy so not compatible with my wild lifestyle 🤣🤣by wild I means working 6 days a week and watching football on a Sunday 🤣🤣
But I’m a really active person with a busy life and young kids we love walking and taking the dogs out for adventures and these breeds wouldn’t fit in with that too well and certainly would t want to be aggression therapy dogs!!!!

What breed do you have and does it for your lifestyle??? What breed would you get just based on looks but wouldn’t suit you??
