Here at Faye's Canine Academy, I encourage owners to think about why their dog is behaving the way they are (whether that be good or bad) to further understand the needs of their dog. Look at the size of this adorable Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy at just 5 months old 😍

Early training is important for every dog, but especially large breeds. Pulling on the lead or jumping up might seem cute now, but it’s a different story when they’re fully grown and you can’t manage them! 💪🐕

🐾 Build good habits early & get early advice/training.
🐾 Teach manners and set boundaries.
🐾 Don’t wait until it’s a problem as it’ll be harder to fix if they have practised the unwanted behaviours a while.

A little reminder of why I absolutely love my job! 🐾💗

I spend my days working with dogs, and honestly, I feel so lucky to do what I do. But today definitely topped it off! 🥹

After a day of back-to-back 1:1s from morning to 7pm, my final session brought a couple of very special surprises. I got to meet this gorgeous 3-day-old chick 🐥 and spend some time stroking a beautiful white horse🐴.

There’s something pretty magical about finishing a busy day surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes. It was pure bliss and the perfect end to my day, thank you Ali. 💕🌅

Moments like this make me stop and think just how lucky I am to call this my job. ❤️

Dogs, chicks, horses… I’ll take it all! 🐶🐥🐴

“Just give them an old shoe/slipper to chew — I don’t need it anymore and it’s keeping them quiet!” 🤔

Errr… nope! 😂

Your puppy doesn’t know the difference between your old trainer and someone’s £80+ brand-new shoes! 😬

If shoes/slippers are allowed sometimes, don’t be surprised when your pup decides ALL of them are fair game! 👟💨

👉 Give them proper chew toys instead, swap unwanted items calmly, and reward the behaviour you do want.
