Milo had a 1-1 training session last week, we got a tiny bit soaked 😅🌧️
This boy is such a lovely lad, and the perfect example of dogs having their own personalities!
As people we all have individual likes/ dislikes, and so do our dogs! 🥰
We covered the importance of understanding his behaviours rather than thinking of them as problematic 👌🏻
For Milo it was growling at dogs who came too close or were too bouncy. We worked on how to improve his feelings towards dogs nearer to him, but also the importance of keeping him out of situations where he needs to growl to maintain a positive relationship ☺️
Of course training is still required. But, for dogs like Milo who are totally unbothered by dogs but just don't want them sniffing around, listening to your dog & changing your expectations will generate the biggest positive change.
Not all dogs want the same things. Advocating for your dog is key 🔑
