Socialisation means ticking ALL the boxes ✅
Having a run & a play is lovely to see AND such a vital part of socialisation for some dogs! This should be a big part of your dog's life for those who enjoy it 🥰
But you could be missing out on a huge piece of the puzzle and this is why I run ✨ on-lead social walks ✨
They're great for:
🐾 Teaching your dog to be calm around other dogs
🐾 Being able to see dogs & not have to say hello - we don't want to be dragged across the road because there's a dog there!
🐾 Teach polite greetings
🐾 Helping nervous dogs feel safe & build confidence without pushing their boundaries
🐾 Building everyday skills that they will use out on your walks
If your goal is socialisation, no matter the age of your dog, it's important to make sure you're covering all the bases 🙌🏻
