Whistle training with the lovely Purdy! She’s highly driven and we make it fun to reinforce the behaviour I’m training. Well done Purds!

Stretford (M32) — a gentle solo walk with Dooley the Pocket Bully. 🐾

Dooley gets a one-to-one walk, because going too far from home makes him nervous. So we never push it — we go exactly as far as he wants to, no pressure at all. And each day, we get just a little bit further.

That's the whole point of a solo walk for a dog like Dooley: building his confidence at his own pace, not mine. As a trainee Clinical Canine Behaviourist, that slow, steady progress is my favourite thing to watch.

Alexandra Park, Whalley Range (M16) — one of the real joys of this job. 🐾

You walk the same few parks over and over, but there's always something to see if you're actually looking. A heron and a turtle sharing a log, the little ones snuffling about under the trees, and a proper unhurried potter with the pack.

This is my regular M16 round — and it honestly never gets old.

Turn Moss, on the Chorlton–Stretford border (M32) — two best friends doing what they do best. 🐾

Sheba the German Shepherd and Ollie, a Labrador Retriever cross — running around together in the open fields, and off they go.

This is what matching dogs properly looks like — same energy, same pace, nobody getting overwhelmed. I pair every group on temperament, never on who happens to be free that day.

Another new face joins the pack — meet Wednesday 🐾

This gorgeous Miniature Poodle enjoyed a calm solo walk around Alexandra Park (M16) — pottering at her own pace with all the time in the world to sniff and meet other dogs in her own time. 🌿

Some dogs do better one-to-one than in a group, and reading that is what training as a Clinical Canine Behaviourist is all about.

If solo walks sound right for your dog, free meet & greet — DM me or use the contact button. 🐾

More new recruits — say hello to Zelda & Bronson! 🐾

These two happy Bulldogs cooled off in the stream at Highfield Country Park, Levenshulme (M19) — summer walks sorted. 🌿

Sociable, easy-going and brilliant in their own little pack — exactly the kind of pair who make my day. As a trainee Clinical Canine Behaviourist, I love getting to know each dog's character.

Fancy your dog joining a pack of their own? Free meet & greet — DM me or hit the contact button. 🐾

Meet Vesper — our newest recruit! 🐾

This elegant Whippet had her first walk with us around Abney Hall, Cheadle (SK8), alongside little Millie — and settled into the pack beautifully. 🌿 Vesper is often anxious around bigger dogs and prefers to be with smaller ones. Matching each dog to the right walk and the right company is the bit I love most as a trainee Clinical Canine Behaviourist.

Manchester Dogs' Home have been rehoming rescue dogs since 1893.

They receive no government funding — everything they do is powered by donations, volunteers and adopters. From long-term residents waiting for the right family to emergency intakes needing urgent care, they're there for every dog that comes through the gates.

If you're thinking about adopting, fostering or donating, please head to www.dogshome.net. Every bit helps.

Every dog deserves love, respect and someone in their corner 🐾

Personally — I try to spend a bit of time there most Fridays. It keeps me grounded and honestly makes me a better walker for all my dogs.

Cheadle's newest additions — say hello to Bonnie and Evie 🐾

Two older ladies, and all the lovelier for it. Bonnie's the cream cockapoo — soft, affectionate and gentle as they come. Evie's the black-and-tan rescue; we're not sure of her exact mix, though there may be some German Shepherd in there. After everything before she came to us, she's settled into a calm, easy-going girl who loves a steady potter round the trails.

Older dogs don't need running off their feet — they need a walk matched to their pace, time to stop and sniff, and someone keeping a proper eye on them. That's exactly what these two get on our regular Cheadle round.

Got a senior dog who'd love gentle, unhurried walks? Free meet & greet with every new client — WhatsApp 07380 367 565.

Meet Wilson — one of the lovely dogs I walk 🐾

Wilson's a Bordernese (Border Collie × Bernese Mountain Dog). Which means he's got the collie brain that never switches off and the Bernese heart that just wants to please.

Today at Highfield Country Park in Levenshulme we're practising clicker recall — I click, he comes flying back. Not because he has to, but because he's learnt that a click means good stuff is happening. Voluntary check-ins like this are the foundation of every off-lead walk I take.

Free meet & greet with every new dog — WhatsApp 07380 367 565.
