If you’d told me 3 years ago, when I first started my dog walking business, that one day I’d be confidently walking a pack of FIVE large-breed dogs, I wouldn’t have believed you!

One or two large dogs with a few smaller ones thrown into the mix… maybe. But FIVE big dogs together?! Definitely not!

Looking back, it really makes me realise just how much I’ve grown in those three years. My confidence, knowledge and understanding of dogs has come such a long way, and I’m still learning every single day.

Walking a pack isn’t just about holding five leads. It’s about understanding each individual dog, their personalities, their body language and how they interact with each other, while making sure everyone is safe and enjoying their walk.

There was a time when a pack like this would have felt completely out of my comfort zone… now it’s one of the parts of my job I love the most. ❤️

It’s not just about walking the dogs 🐾
When I take Ghost home after his walk, he has a little bit of food. Before he gets tucked in we squeeze in a little bit of training. I ask Ghost to sit, wait then give me eye contact before I release him to eat.
It only takes a few moments, but little exercises like this are a great way to practice patience, impulse control and engagement. 🐾🐾

The evolution of my relationship with Hugo! This happens every time without fail, I have to allow Hugo to build trust and confidence at his own pace. He always comes around in the end though!
Hugo is one of my lovely regulars who I get to look after when his owners are away.
I pop in to see him every morning and evening to make sure he’s happy and settled, top up his food and fresh water, clean his litter tray and, of course give him some company and attention (when he allows).
Cat drop-ins are a great way for cats to stay comfortable in their own home and stick to their usual routine while their humans are away. 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛
