Since coming back to Bexhill to help care for my Nan for a few days, my emotions have honestly hit me like a train.
Leaving Bexhill and moving to Norfolk came with so much guilt, and being back has brought all of those feelings rushing to the surface again. Although I truly believe moving was the best decision for Freddie and me to give ourselves the chance to build a proper future together, it doesn’t mean leaving the people and animals I love behind was ever easy.
Being away from my own pets now has added another layer to those emotions. Leaving Major has been especially difficult since his operation. Being so young and losing an eye has knocked his confidences big time and naturally I've become even more protective of him, so being this far away hasn’t been easy.
I’m incredibly grateful to Freddie and my in-laws for sending me photos and updates of all my pets while I’m away. Seeing their little faces and knowing they’re happy, safe and being well cared for gives me more comfort than they probably realise. ❤️
It has reminded me just how much receiving regular photos and updates means when somebody else is caring for your pets. They aren’t “just animals” they’re our family, our comfort and sometimes the little things that hold us together when life feels overwhelming.
This is exactly why I always want the owners who trust Womack’s Doggie Delights with their pets to feel reassured, included and connected while they’re away too. 🐾
Missing my little gang terribly, but this photo definitely made me smile. Defiantly sums up Norfolk Life ❤️
