A bit quiet on our social media this week.

Delighted that we had releases to allow new admissions but the first 2 sadly passed.

A tiny Alice who although lively when found she passed within 14hrs in a warm, cosy incubator.

March (Hare) came in yesterday with a catastrophic bite wound to the abdomen that also damaged his p***s. After some pain medication he was taken straight to the veterinary hospital Gorleston which is closer to my home than my wildlife vet to be put to sleep. So glad his finder got him to me so quickly and that further pain and suffering was reduced.

Wills up 3g now 675g - he's on antibiotics for a respiratory infection.

Weekly update time and the hoggies are definitely not on Slimming World!

Charles and Camilla were both released, Charles was 726g and Camilla 817g.
Chestnut up 102g now 435g
Conker up 155g now 642g and ready to return to finder.
Lady up 72g now 615g.
Spike up 192g now 442g.
Gautier up 123g now 500g.
Minnie up 88g now 374g.
Ronnie up 64g now 312g.
Gabbana up 204g now 533g.
Wills up 90g now 672g.
Newbie Harry arrived yesterday now 649g up 50g overnight!

I am hoping to reopen to admissions on Wednesday as more releases are planned and I have foster spaces I can then fill. I hadn't had time to reopen the 1 space created yesterday as Harry came in after getting entangled in netting. A short period of observation to ensure no constriction injury and then he can return to the wild.

Fairy Hogmother Bridget for her food donation to all the hungry hogs - this is hugely appreciated as both the wild hoggies and inpatients have a very healthy appetite in these challenging weather conditions.

PS. thank you also for fresh toilet paper aka newspapers 🤣.

Nadine, Ed and Teresa for their donations to the hoggie bank account. Just waiting on the latest purchase to arrive tomorrow to show you all what it had helped to buy.

Fairy Hogmother Kathy is getting some super fundraising support for the rescue, as well as being a regular hedgehog food bank donator. Kathy makes beautiful crafts to fundraise for the rescue and has now branched out with support coming from The Kings Head Belton to arrange a fundraising quiz night - more details to follow.

AND if all goes to plan ...... we should be able to reopen to admissions this weekend, only 1 space but if we can support 1 hedgehog in need it just continues to make my heart swell 💕

Introducing Wills who heard Lucky Lady was checking out so went straight onto booking.com to secure her vacated pod!

A day late but here are the Sunday updates:
Chestnut up127g now 487g.
Conker back at rescue having lost 73g and gas Coccidia.
Lucky Lady up38g now 543g.
Charles up 32g now 655g. Amputated leg has healed beautifully.
Camilla has dropped 48g with nothing showing in her poo. A worrying time, her amputated leg has healed beautifully.
Spike up 97g now 250g.
Gautier up 72g now 377g but has developed lungworm.
Minnie up 76g now 286g.
Ronnie up 40g now 248g but not enjoying meat, we are trying a different wet food each night but she loves her biscuits.
Gabbana up 99g now 329g.
Wills is currently 582g up 18g in 6 days. Wills has Cap, Roundworm, Lungworm and Fluke but is now more settled as you can see in his snoozy pose for camera.

Nursie is happy with the condition of my skin. I've had dreadful Ringworm and it has caused all my fur to drop out and a whole heap of spines but nursie tells me I'm over the worst of it.
I have warm medicated baths, antiseptic lotion brushed on the next day and tomorrow is Coconut Spa day. I'm also on special medicine too.
Nursie says I will soon grow my fur and spines back.
Any reference to me looking like a 'Clanger' will result in me biting you!
