What do you do when the cockerel is stuck in the tree?

That might sound like the start to a dad joke, but this was this morning dilemma.

Did the normal drill, put the food and water down for the chickens, then went about sorting out the cats in the house. I came out to check on the chickens to find our friend was still up the tree. So, time are don the heavy duty gardening gloves to either pick him up and bring him down, if he would let me (he didn’t) or gently tap him on the butt and encourage him to jump down.

I have a funny feeling the same will happen on our next visit.

The food is out, the water dispensers washed and refilled, and before I left the girls were already eating their food (they think just like me 🤣, food first) while the boys were out roaming the neighbourhood. They better not wait too long or the girls will have eaten everything.

There are still some spaces for cat visits over the summer so if you are planning a short notice escape and need the cats to be fed, checked on and cuddled (if they let me) then get in touch via our website is best and let’s get you all registered and setup.

We have had the pleasure this weekend of spending plenty of time with plenty of cats, no herding require 🤣

Whether you are going away for the day, overnight or that big summer holiday we can provide cat visits for you.

Our only stipulations are we do visits at least once per day, and if we are sharing cat care responsibilities with another person we have their contact details just in case.

We have a pet/canine first aid course running Sun 17th May.

This course is designed for pet owners and pet care professionals alike. The course runs 10am-2:30pm, so feel free to bring lunch to eat, tea & coffee will be available.

Learn basic skills to give you the confidence to deal with the more common occurances you might encounter and the essential skills to get your injured/unwell pet to the vet in the best possible condition.
