So our last doggies left this morning 🐾 and all is quiet here now at riverbank 🐾
Libby and I would like to thank everyone for their custom and trusting us to look after your doggies 🐾 they’ve all been great and it has been our pleasure to have them all stay with us 🐾
We have met some great new friends over the last 5 years who have all made us very welcome to goxhill so please keep in touch (Facebook Joanne McCarthy) and let me know how you are all getting on 🐾 especially my furry friends 🐾 and thanks to everyone who sent us cards, gifts, flowers, wine and chocolates they are all very much appreciated and the beautiful words inside them made me fill up 🐾

North Lincs council have informed us that ferry road will be closed for roadworks from 6pm to 5am (so evening/overnight only) daytime not affected 🐾

This is happening from Tuesday 2nd September until Wednesday 10th September 🐾
This will not affect most of you apart from the 6pm check outs 🐾
Alternative route is up horse gate field rd or chapel field rd then onto east marsh (across the top)
Sorry for inconvenience caused 🐾 out of our hands

Update on the sale of riverbank 🐾

We have now accepted an offer ( not many on the table ) back to the family who we bought it off 🐾

They lived here for 18 years and loved it but had to sell for personal reasons but are exited to be coming back 🐾
Things have changed a lot in their family and both adults have full time jobs now and are hoping for their daughter to take the kennels on in the new year after they have updated them a little in order to get a new license from the council 🐾

Our license runs out soon and with the sale starting to go through we have decided that it is best if we do not take any bookings from November 4th 2025 onwards 🐾
We will be in touch with all those that have booked with us and paid deposits after this date and refund you 🐾
Hopefully the new owner will be up and running early 2026 🐾

We are really sorry we couldn’t sell to someone who wanted to run the kennels straight away but we didn’t have much choice but fingers crossed for the future of riverbank 🐾

Just to reiterate 🐾
We will not sell to anyone who does not want to run the kennels exactly like we have 🐾
We appreciate each and everyone for their support and should know that we are not abandoning ship but moving on to greater things 🐾
The new owners will be vetted to the last inch and will hopefully work along side us for everyone to get to know them and your doggies and have a smooth transition as possible 🐾
I will not let my doggies go into hands that I do not trust 🐾
All bookings are safe 🐾
This has not been an easy decision and I fill up reading your fantastic comments 🐾

Long post alert 🐾

The time has come for Libby and I to move on 🐾

Some of you may know we as a family of 6 moved from Derbyshire to goxhill to live the dream life and open up Riverbank boarding kennels for the lovely people of goxhill and surrounding areas 🐾

In the 5 years we have been here we have and are still loving every minute, we love our doggies more than anything, they have become part of our family as much as yours, but the time has come where Libby and her fiancé have decided to purchase their own house (back in Derbyshire closer to his family) and Marcus and I have decided to semi retire 🐾

We have today put the house/business up for sale and are actively looking for a new buyer who will take on the kennels as is and keep it running as is, so all your bookings will be safe 🐾

We are looking for that perfect dog lover, who loves the lifestyle and is fully committed to keeping riverbank a 5* boarding kennels and love your doggies as much as we do 🐾

This is a sad post I write but hopefully new adventures are in front of us and maybe we can travel to all the places our wonderful customers travel to when leaving their doggies with us 🐾
