Did you know Pomeranians have a double coat?🐕 Their fluffy appearance comes from a dense, soft undercoat beneath a longer outer coat.
So, what does a deshed actually do?
🩷 Removes loose undercoat – Helps lift out dead, shedding hair that would otherwise end up around your home
💙 Supports coat health – Regular brushing and appropriate grooming help keep the coat clean, manageable and free from tangles
🩷 Helps prevent matting – Loose undercoat can become trapped and contribute to tangles, particularly behind the ears, under the legs and around the collar
⚠️ A little Pomeranian PSA! Their double coat should never be shaved simply to reduce shedding.
The coat helps with insulation and protection, and shaving can interfere with normal regrowth.
