What a Few Busy Months! 🐾

What a busy period we’ve had! Non-stop house guests have certainly kept us on our toes, and we’ve loved every minute of it. ❤️🐶

We’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Barney on two separate visits, while Ronnie also enjoyed two stays — and on his second visit, he brought his mate Ralph along for a couple of nights. 🐾

Stan enjoyed a week with us before being followed by our new boarder Daisy, who settled in straight away. She certainly does love a ball! ⚾️

Finally, we had a wonderful week with two of our oldest and most established guests, Jack and Daisy. ❤️

And, of course, we have to mention our Fred, who welcomes every visitor and takes them all in his stride, no matter what their size or age. He’s even happy to share his treats.😂🐾

Every dog brings their own personality, quirks and cuddles, and that’s exactly what makes Hounds at Home so special.

Where all dogs feel at home. 🏡🐾❤️

The Police are now saying if you see a dog locked in a car in hot weather, take a picture of the dog and the car. If someone is with you, get them to bring up the weather for your area on their phone so you can screen shot the temp, THEN break the car window. This way, you will not be charged with criminal damage and it gives the police photo evidence to take the dog owners to court.

Can everyone please copy and paste this information to prevent this cruel act from happening?

🐾 What a jam-packed month we've had! ☀️🐶
With the heatwave in full swing, it's been all about early morning adventures and late evening strolls to keep everyone happy. 🌅🌙 Thankfully, all of our furry guests stayed cool and comfortable indoors thanks to our air-conditioning – the perfect place to chill out between adventures! ❄️💙

🐕 Stan joined us for a week of exciting new walks, endless sniffs, toy time, and even explored the allotment like a true adventurer.

💨 Inky stayed a little longer and made the most of her 10-metre lead, giving her the freedom to show off her incredible whippet speed, lightning-fast turns, and, of course, make lots of new friends along the way.

🧸 Chewie rounded off the month perfectly with plenty of cuddles and a love for soft toys. He even brought out the puppy in our Fred, with the two of them racing around the house playing chase – it was impossible not to smile watching them! 🐾😂

A huge thank you to all our wonderful owners for trusting us with your amazing dogs. We can't wait to see what next month brings! ❤️🐶

Ronnie’s second visit this year!! 🐾

It was fantastic to welcome Ronnie back — he’s such a cheeky chap and slots straight into Hounds at Home life as if he’s never been away. ❤️

This time, Freddie showed him how to master the snuffle ball, and he even shared his treats with him! The lovely weather meant the back doors could stay open all day, giving Ronnie plenty of opportunity to shout at the birds, planes, helicopters, and the local feline neighbours. 😆

Out on walks, Ronnie set the pace, loved exploring all the new sniffs, and enjoyed the freedom of the 10-metre lead. Plenty of cuddles on the couch before bedtime rounded off the perfect day.

Happy 1st Anniversary to us here at Hounds at Home - Boarding for Dogs and a big THANK YOU to all of our Pawrents and their fur babies for using us! The year has been a resounding success and here’s to the next one (although we have to keep going - we have bookings for 2028!)🥂🎂🥳🎉🐕🐶🐾

🐾 Coco stopped by for a four-night stay and made himself at home straight away 🐶❤️

With our 24/7 care, Coco enjoyed plenty of love, reassurance, cuddles and attention throughout his stay. He even mastered the art of digging treats out of the snuffle ball after a lesson from our resident snuffle expert, Fred! 🦴🐾

Adventures along the cycle tracks and trips down to the beach meant lots of exciting sniffs and the chance to make some new canine friends along the way 🌊🐕

At one point we even put Coco to work helping us take new bookings… although we’re not sure his admin skills are quite as good as his cuddle skills 😄

It was so sad watching him disappear around the corner when it was time to go, but the good news is he’s already booked in for his next stay!

Today we said goodbye (for now) to our much-loved long-term Christmas boarder, Ozzy 🐾❤️

He’s never just a boarder — he becomes part of the family every time he stays with us. From joining in all our celebrations to thinking he’s one of the kids during playtime, Ozzy brings so much joy, laughter, and energy into our home. He greets every visitor (human or canine!) like an old friend and has truly won over so many hearts.

Now that he’s headed home, the local cats and squirrels can finally relax for a little while! 😄

Be good for mum and dad, Ozzy, and don’t forget everything you’ve learned. We already can’t wait to welcome you back at the end of the year — it won’t be the same without you until then. 🐶💕
