Maine C***s are designed for colder climates with thick double coats and feet tufts. As you can see he’s gone and got very wet on this morning garden visit.

He’s not bothered in the slightest and his skin is dry. I am bothered! Wet long hair cats are never good because it mats.

I’ve managed to towel dry him (I’m not to do anything still!). Then he’ll be combed out to prevent mats starting at the skin level.

Longhair cats are a huge every day commitment. My naughty boy knew that I couldn’t catch him!

This is a hard message to post. My heart is literally breaking.

Sadly we had to say forever goodbye to our Bruce Friday night.

He'd been his normal self up to Tuesday but my other two cats were sniffing him and sitting with him every day.

He'd had a drip Tuesday for fluids and to flush out the toxins his body couldn't do himself. They were willing to teach me subcutaneous fluid injections if he improved but sadly he didn't.

My vets have been amazing, caring and kind to both us and Brucey. They went above and beyond. It was very peaceful.

He was so loved and cherished to the last and he was so good, ever grateful and never stopped cuddling in.

We held each other the last 3 1/2 years, the last 2 being my most testing and he was always there with a paw and a purr. Love your cats with everything you have 💗

If you have given a Facebook review before, could you go to old page as you can still access it , copy and paste your words and add the picture your choice. I will have no rating now sadly as lost with old account.

It’s not as full as I lost a lot from old page I cannot access now since hacked. I will do new videos as I go forward.

Instagram posts on it but once I link new page up, it’s going to float in the ether by the looks of things so please switch asap!

I finally was able to have second vaccination and haven’t had any reaction at all.

I’m so relieved as I was so I’ll with Covid in July and it’s taken months to recover.

I’ve had a bit of good news this week re my health. There’s a bit to do but I at least feel more positive about getting there.

I am going to try and do a video (with a few coughs most probably!) to explain.

Also next week I am going to ask everyone to move across to a new page. I’ll give instructions.
I’m literally having to start over and loose my flipping reviews rating!! Very annoying 🤬

At least I can see light ahead which I admit I was loosing hope of.

I’ve been juggling 3 issues that have sort of separated so I can start treating/ do something and get better. Some I need to accept and manage long term.

I so appreciate the kind messages that you have been sending. I feel like I’m hiding in a cave and you’re keeping me boosted.

It’s been one hell of a year and a half for everyone!!

Keep smiling, keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Hello lovely people.

I’m so sorry to say I’m struggling with progress. It’s slow!

After lots of tests I am waiting to see chest and lung consultant end of October.

I am praying that they can help find the root of cause for my cough and breathing issues.

I realise people are wondering if I will get back but I’m thinking positive I will.

Some issues have begun to ease so that’s good.

Please be patient with me and a shout out for our veterinarian staff who are flooded and run ragged. Be kind, there’s 4.5 million new pets in the system since lockdowns.
