It’s never a post you want to write but sadly I was contacted by Sapphire’s owner a couple of days ago to say she has now gone over the rainbow bridge. I was very lucky to have known this special girl for just over 5 years, not long after starting up my visits. I’m so grateful to her mum and dad for giving me the opportunities to care for your beautiful girl. I hope you like and can find some comfort from these photos and your own happy memories. Sleep tight little one 🐈‍⬛

On one of my visits today I could see the dogs were quite interested in a particular part of the garden. On checking it out I discovered a little field mouse which appeared to have 2 back broken legs. I phoned a local vet who said they’d take the wee thing so I gently picked it up and put it in a bucket for transporting it. I think it enjoyed the warmth and comfort of the towel for the short trip to the vet as it was sleeping in the towel when we arrived. A sad visit but I’m glad I was able to help end its pain and just to add the dogs didn’t appear to hurt it but they showed me where it was.

On Sunday 13th September, myself, volunteers and parents are taking part in the Edinburgh Kilt Walk to help raise vital funds for Thornton Rose Riding for the Disabled. This is the group I ride, compete for and coach for and we are walking to help raise money which helps us to care for the horses and provide ridden and non ridden interactions for participants. Every £ helps so if any of you would like to donate we’d be so grateful and I’ve attached the link below.

This Saturday we’ll also have a stall at Roslin fete. We’ll have a Tombola, home baking and toss the horse shoe game. Come and say hello, chat to us about volunteering with us and find out what we do.

Back doing what I love last week. It was great to be back visiting my furry friends again. Thank you so much to those customers who have stuck with me. Six months not driving has felt like an eternity for me. I have been back in the saddle again and taking things easy and riding such a big and powerful horse had its consequences but I’m just so glad to be here and fully recovered.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to update you all on what’s happening. I’ve been home from hospital for just over 2 weeks. My ribs are still very sore but are improving. The downside of the accident because I was unconscious and had a bleed on the brain I’ve had to give up my driving licence for 6 months. I know this isn’t what I want to be telling you but I want to be honest and transparent. I can offer evening and weekend visits and for those of you are sticking with me I can’t thank you enough and I really appreciate your messages and kindness. I really hope I don’t lose too many of my furry friends as they are part of my life and not a job but I totally understand that you can’t all hang around for 5 months. (I am on the countdown)

Hello everyone. Just wanted to give you an update. I’m still in hospital and not sure when I’ll be home. I’ve got 6 broken ribs and I’ve had a bleed on the brain. I’m so sorry to let any of you down with visits. I don’t know if 2 weeks is being optimistic or unrealistic but I’ll keep you all updated
