As our independent practice continues to grow, we’re looking for fantastic people to join our lovely team:

PART-TIME / FULL TIME VETERINARY SURGEON
We’re looking for a confident Vet with 5+ years’ experience to join us on a part-time / full time basis.

🐾 Full clinical freedom to manage your cases from start to finish
🐾 Consultations, routine surgery & a team approach to sharing skills and experience
🐾 Some Saturday mornings, currently no OOH work

PART-TIME / FULL TIME REGISTERED VETERINARY NURSE (RVN)
We’re looking for a passionate and proactive RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.

This is a brilliant opportunity to make full use of your nursing skills, including:

🐾 Surgical nursing & anaesthesia monitoring
🐾 Inpatient care & patient management
🐾 Nurse clinics
🐾 In-house laboratory work
🐾 Some Saturday mornings, currently no OOH work

We’re free from corporate targets and focus entirely on excellent patient care Although HAH is a new practice, we have over 30 years of experience working in this area and have built an excellent reputation for providing cost-effective, welfare-focused veterinary care.

We work as a team, with every member of staff playing an important role in providing a friendly, efficient and effective service. Our receptionists, nurses and vets are all valued equally, and we work together to maintain the highest standards of care.

We are particularly passionate about anaesthesia, long-term pain relief and end-of-life care. We share our knowledge, experience and skills, regularly discuss cases and always do our very best to provide the highest level of care for our patients and their families.

Unpopular opinion, but your dog doesn’t have to come home exhausted after their walk to prove they got what they needed from it📣

Don’t get me wrong, plenty of them have a good nap after their walk with me😂 but that’s a positive side effect, not the goal.

I want your dogs to have fun, whatever that means for them on that particular day. Some want to walk for miles, some want to sniff every blade of grass on a short route. Others might prefer to play or just potter about enjoying being outside.

As dog walk is never just a walk, it’s time for some of their favourite activities! A successful walk to me is all about how much they got to enjoy being a dog.

The best way to protect your pet starts before you even leave the house🐕

July is National Lost Pet Prevention Month, so here's your reminder that prevention is key!

Before heading out on a walk, check that your pet's collar and/or harness is secure and fits properly.

Make sure your leads aren't frayed (especially if your dog has ever had a habit of biting their lead!) and all clips/fastenings feel nice and secure. If anything feels a bit slack, tighten it up or swap for an alternative before you go.

Now, ID Tags and Microchips won't prevent a lost dog if one of the above fails, but they can make a world of difference in getting a lost dog home! Make sure your details are correct and up to date, with your surname, address and phone number on as a minimum. Next time you visit your vet, ask them to scan your dog's microchip to make sure it's still in place and working.

It's also worth remembering that in England, dogs are legally required to wear an ID tag in public and be microchipped, failing to do so can result in a fine.

The last year has absolutely flown by, I can't believe that I'm already celebrating my second anniversary.
