I write this with a heavy heart....
Twenty years ago, a little dog walking business began. It was originally set up for my partner of 21yrs, Andy.
Neither of us could have imagined the journey it would take us on.
The business grew, and when Andy became ill, I took over. The business continued to grow with me for a while. However, Andy's health sadly declined, and I made the decision to scale things back. Then after COVID, I decided to go part-time so that I could be there for Andy when he needed me most.
Through all of those changes, one thing never changed – the incredible loyalty and kindness of my clients. Many of you continued to support me, even when you were working from home and probably could have managed without a dog walker. You kept my little business going when you didn't have to, and I will never forget that. Your loyalty, understanding and support have meant more than I could ever put into words.
Sadly, after Andy passed away, the business never quite returned to what it once was. After much thought, I've decided it's time for a new chapter. I'll be returning to my previous career as a lorry driver, while continuing with the dog training side of my business.
It's certainly not an easy goodbye to the dog walking side. I've been incredibly lucky to spend my days with so many wonderful dogs and their equally wonderful owners. To whoever takes over walking your dogs, they are truly fortunate. I've had the privilege of caring for some amazing dogs, and I'll miss every single one of them.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me with your best friends over the last 20 years. Thank you for your kindness, your friendship, your support, and for allowing me to be such a special part of your dogs' lives. It has been an absolute privilege.
Here's to new beginnings, while holding onto so many wonderful memories. Thank you, everyone. ❤️🐾
