A lovely end to the week on Friday with some fabulous regulars💜

Elsie – Lovely Elsie came in for her pamper today! She was such a sweet girl from start to finish and took everything in her stride. Elsie was full of cuddles and left looking absolutely beautiful. Well done Elsie! 💕⭐

Lenny – Handsome Lenny came for his groom today! He was such a happy boy and loved all the fuss and attention. His tail never stopped wagging and he left looking super smart. Well done Lenny! 💙⭐

Bertie – Sweet boy Bertie enjoyed his pamper session today! He was a pleasure to groom and was so well behaved throughout. Bertie left looking fresh, tidy and very proud of himself. Well done Bertie! 🐻⭐

Bruce – Gorgeous Bruce came in for his groom today! He was such a good boy and enjoyed plenty of cuddles along the way. Bruce looked absolutely fantastic after his pamper and was ready to show off his new look. Well done Bruce! 💙⭐

Bear- Sweet boy Bear had his pamper today! Bear has come on leaps and bounds with his confidence in the grooming room and outside of the grooming room! He’s so lush! Well done Bear!🐻⭐️

Arlo- Handsome boy Arlo was first through the doors today! This bundle of joy is so happy to come in! Always got a waggy tail! Such a good boy too and has all his tasty treats! Well done Arlo💙⭐️

Minnie- Beautiful girl Minnie was last in today! Minnie is such a docile girl and is great on the grooming table! We take her short on her body as she suits this look! Well done Minnie!🩷⭐️

Monty- Handsome Monty visited today for his regular pamper session with me! Monty is a lush boy, we take him nice and short! Monty had a diy haircut last week in the heat to make him cooler so I had some evening out to do! Well done Monty!💙⭐️

Winnie- Lovely Winnie is such a beautiful girl and is always happy! We gave her a nice short trim as she had a few knotts underneath today! She was a super good girl! Well done Winnie!🩷⭐️

I just wanted to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to all the dog walkers, trainers, boarders, groomers, pet sitters and every other dog-related professional out there.

Before opening the field, I honestly thought dog walkers simply picked dogs up, had a fun walk, and dropped them back home again - how wrong was I?! The amount of work that goes on behind the scenes every single day is incredible. And when a heatwave like this hits, that work goes completely off the charts.

I’m lucky enough to be part of a fantastic network of professionals and all over the bank holiday weekend we’ve been constantly in touch - sharing ideas, asking for advice, planning ahead, changing schedules and doing everything possible to keep dogs safe and comfortable.

I closed the field and rearranged the bookings, but the amount of time and effort the other dog professionals have put into completely reorganising their weeks has been on another level. Changing routes and times to avoid the heat, finding shaded areas and water stops, using cooling mats, cooling jackets and collars, setting up fans and air conditioning in the grooming rooms, creating cooling enrichment activities, offering drop-ins instead of walks… the list genuinely goes on.

The heatwaves also have a huge financial impact on dog professionals. Cancelled walks, reduced bookings, shorter sessions, extra equipment, higher running costs and time spent reorganising schedules all add up. Many are losing income while still doing absolutely everything they can to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of the pooches in their care.

These professionals put so much effort into making sure the dogs are happy, healthy and safe. There have literally been hundreds of messages in our group this weekend, all focused on doing the very best for the dogs.

So if your pooch gets picked up by a dog walker this week, dropped off at the groomers, stays with a boarder while you’re away, or has a pet sitter looking after them at home - please give those professionals an extra thank you. They truly do go above and beyond. 💜

I honestly can’t believe it’s already been a year since I opened the doors to Wizard of Paws! 💖

A huge THANK YOU to all my amazing clients — old and new — for trusting me with your gorgeous dogs. Some of my furry clients I’ve been grooming for 7+ years, and getting to watch them grow, change, and thrive has been so special 🥹🐶

When I first started Wizard of Paws, I never imagined it would take off the way it has. Ever since leaving the salon I worked in and starting this little dream of mine, I genuinely haven’t had a slow day! From day one you’ve all kept me incredibly busy, supported me, recommended me, and believed in me ✨

I’m so grateful for every appointment, every message, every recommendation, and every wagging tail that comes through my door 💕

☀️ Heatwave Notice ☀️

With the hot weather over the coming days, your dog’s comfort and safety is my top priority at the salon.

The salon is fully air conditioned, and I’ll also be taking extra precautions including:
🐾 Extra water bowls available at all times
🐾 Keeping the salon cool and comfortable
🐾 Allowing dogs plenty of time to settle and cool down

If you are at all worried about bringing your dog to their appointment during the heatwave, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and I’ll happily reschedule your booking.

Bear- Handsome boy Bear had his first groom with me this morning! Oh how handsome he is! He was such a good boy for his first pamper and took everything in his stride! Well done Bear!🩵⭐️

Nora- Beautiful Nora was first in the doors this morning for her regular groom with me! This girl is such a sweetie! It was her birthday today so we finished the groom off with a nice birthday bow-tie! Well done Nora!🩷⭐️

Betty- Pretty girl Betty was another newbie today! She was a good girl and is so beautiful! We took her body nice and short and she looks fab! Well done Betty!🩷⭐️

Millie- Beautiful little Millie was the last newbie through the doors today! She was such a little sweat heart and such a darling for her groom! We took her nice and short and she looks so cute! Well done Millie!🩷⭐️

Zeb- Last but not least was Zeb! This boy is super lovely and is always a pleasure to groom! We take him nice and short too as it’s easier to maintain! Well done Zeb!🩵⭐️
