If you have calm, confident, assertive dogs in your pack during a walk they really are the best teachers. As you can see in the video Molly the Weimaraner is very high energy and at times not respecting the other dogs space.
I love how funny this video is from the point of view of everyone having a quiet mooch and Molly is tearing around like a lunatic, but I also love this video because it’s a brilliant example of how an assertive dog can immediately change the energy of another dog.. the ultimate ‘dog trainer’ is almost always another dog. The skill as a walker is to chose the pack according to exercise needs, obedience levels and leadership (theirs, not mine) 🥰🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Lovely walk with friend Rainy today (who sometimes helps out with the dogs).
In typical British style I’ll talk about the weather, because I felt very lucky today! 😅
Sun shone until the moment I got back in the car! 🌦️

Few days away in very wet and windy Dorset! Huge thanks to Kelly and Chloë who looked after things so brilliantly whilst we were away. Photo of me looking reasonably mud-free to prove I’m not always wearing waterproof clothes and surrounded with dogs 😂

Not all dogs are suitable to go off lead which is why we are somewhat unique in having the option of offering both safe onsite playtimes and off lead adventures. Off lead fun is important for a dogs welfare.. establishing social connections, mental stimulation and physical exercise.

This is a great skill to teach your dog if you see something approaching (this was just to demonstrate otherwise I wouldn’t say for them to go)
Some of these dogs only arrived this week, so with practice throughout your walk it’s achievable quite quickly.
