🐾Cat Found🐈‍⬛

Young tortoiseshell and white kitten (approx. 4-6 weeks old) found in Churchdown Skatepark yesterday. Bought into our Churchdown practice this morning, not chipped.

If you know any information regarding this kitten please contact the practice on 01452 712194.

Currently placed into foster care for 7 days, and will be rehomed if no owner comes forward. Proof of ownership required.

🐣Found a baby bird out of it's nest?🐦
It's baby bird season, and we know how easy it is to worry when you see a little one on the ground. But not all baby birds need rescuing! In fact, sometimes the best thing you can do is to leave them be.

Today is the 25th anniversary of Ivor’s retirement and Neil and Carolyn taking full responsibility for the Brambles. The UK was in the midst of an outbreak of Foot and Mouth disease at the time which led to a lot of upheaval. There have been some interesting times since then too, most notably coping with keeping the practice running through COVID.

It has been a great pleasure to share in the lives of not only the pets, but the many people we have met over this time. We have been very lucky how welcoming the people of Churchdown and Gloucester were, and continue to be.

There have been many changes at the practice over the years, constantly updating and improving our facilities to help give you the best care for your pets in one place. We couldn’t have managed this without the help and support of the many great staff we’ve had over the years too.

What has remained constant is that we are still a family run, truly independent vets (sadly this phrase wouldn’t have meant anything 25 years ago)

We look forward to many more years!

Meet lovely Ollie ❤️

Ollie has recently reached his weight loss goal. He has been seeing our nurses for weight clinics since Feb 2025 and has lost 8kgs!

A big congratulations to Ollie and his owners in achieving this goal 🥳

🎄🐈Puppies and Kittens are for Life - Not just Christmas🐕🎄

With the magic of the festive season, it can be tempting to bring home an adorable puppy or kitten as a Christmas surprise. But it's so important to remember: pets are a lifelong commitment, not a seasonal gift.

Animals need time, patience, training and love. what can start as an adorable Christmas gift can quickly become overwhelming if the decision hasn't been fully thought through - and sadly, rescues often see a rise in unwanted pets in the months following the holidays.

🎄Festive Days Out🎄

Here are some ideas for Festive days out with your dogs:
🚶 Charity dogs walks - Many charities will host dog walking events around the festive season to raise money for all the wonderful work they do. This also gives you the opportunity to support a charity of your choosing whilst also having fun with your dog!
🎅 Visit dog friendly Christmas markets - Take a mooch around the markets with your furry friend.
🚜 Visit farm shops - Some farm shops have puppy meet ups! they normally have a nice little café too where you can sit and have a hot chocolate with your dog at your side.
✨ Look at Christmas lights - take your dog for a lovely walk in the evening and enjoy all the Christmas lights together.

👼 Daffodil is an absolute Gentleman, complete opposite from Bluebell. very kind and tidy
