It was another wet & wild day for us today! 🌧️🐾

We also got the chance to visit Nova - Nova is recovering from surgery on her leg so isn’t able to join our groups at the moment. We took her on a very short & careful walk to help get her leg moving safely and made sure to give her some well deserved fuss too 🥺

Another lovely day filled with lovely doggies! 🐾

All these pups have joined this group for different reasons; some for socialisation, some for exercise, some because their owners are out and some are with us to ensure they are having their breed specific needs met!

Whatever the reason we are happy to help make these pups lives all the more full 😁🐾

The other day we had a trial day with the lovely Daniel (and his kitty siblings 😸) and it went brilliantly!

His family are now able to book holidays knowing he is cared for and happy with us which is the best feeling as a pet sitter! ☺️🐾

First day at school photos? Or first day with my dog walker photos? 🥹🐾

Dennis joined us today to build up his social confidence & skills with other dogs, he also did so well so I can’t wait to see how much hood confidence grows! 🫶🏼

☀️HOT PAVEMENT WARNING☀️

Yes, even on warm days, in certain conditions, pavements can become hot enough to cause pain, discomfort and even burn your dog’s paws. Although you may think your dog’s paw pads are quite tough, it’s important to remember that they are still made of skin and can be just as sensitive as the bottom of your feet.

On sunny days, pavements can often be deceptively hot and will usually be much warmer than the air outside. Dark and dense pavements easily absorb heat from the sun and are good at keeping hold of it and releasing it slowly. Natural surfaces, including grass, tend to be much cooler, as plants release water to help cool themselves down.

🔸HOW TO CHECK🔸
The best way to tell if a pavement is too hot for your dog to walk on is to place the back of your hand on the pavement for seven seconds. If it’s too painful for your hand, then it’s too painful for your dog’s paws.

If you notice that your dog is limping, looking uncomfortable or whimpering, then look at the bottom of their paws and check the temperature of the pavement with the back of your hand. If your dog’s paws look red, swollen or blistered then it’s important that you quickly take them off the hot pavement and contact your vet for advice as soon as possible.

Big welcome to the bounciest puppy possible - Monty! Monty is joining our enclosed groups and had the best possible start with us (if you couldn’t tell from the pictures! 🤣)

We do still have some spaces available for our enclosed group walks so if this looks like something your dog would love to get involved in send us a message! 👀🐾

Let’s talk banned breeds ❌🐶

We are insured to care for any and all dogs - this includes any breeds featured on the banned breeds list in the UK (this includes breeds like the pitbull, Japanese tosa & most recently the XL bully).

We can care for them like any other pet - we just have a few more rules we have to follow. These are:
- We must have a copy of their exemption certificate 📄
- They have to be muzzled outside at all times (even in our van)
- They must be kept on lead 🦮

These rules do not stop us from giving your pets the best we could possibly give them though! If you have a dog that’s classified as a banned breed, please do still send us a message! 🐾
