🐾 Different surfaces, and varied walks… why it matters

Tactile surfaces like grass, water, gravel, and mud (yes mud) do more than just change the scenery—they help improve your dog’s balance, build strength, and develop body awareness, while also boosting confidence through new experiences.

A varied walk can make for a more confident, well-rounded dog 🐕✨

Want your dog to get more out of their walks, and need someone to take the stress out of making it happen ?

🌿✨ Spring is here, but some of our favourite things aren’t changing…

Slow starts, relaxed routes, fun-but-calm walks, and dogs who come home happy, balanced and totally chilled. 🐾💚

If your dog could use structured walks in their week, and a lot of joy now’s the perfect time to get them booked in.

☀️ What a lovely week it’s been 🐾

We’ve had a bit of everything this week — mud, fresh air and plenty of moments that remind me why I love my job.

It’s not just about getting the miles in; it’s the trust the dogs give you and the simple joy they get from being out on a walk.

Heading into the weekend with some very content (and nicely tired) dogs. Have a wonderful weekend ☺️ and enjoy your walks 💛

🌷 Spring brings longer days, busier parks, and a lot more distractions for our dogs 🐶

I always do my own seasonal checks — but there are a few things owners can reset at home too.

Here’s some suggestions:

✔ Check parasite prevention
✔ Update emergency details
✔ Practice recall
✔ Keep water handy on warmer days
✔ Check gardens for seasonal hazards

A safe spring is a team effort between owner and walker 🤝🐾

Looking forwards to the sunny ☀️ days and brighter evenings 🌷

Storms, sunshine and a lot of muddy paws — just a typical week with Walk and Wag! 🐾

The weather has definitely been… interesting, but the dogs haven’t been deterred. Kevin & Storm joined our groups this week, and Benny is settling in really well with his new friends.

There’s been plenty of swimming (and the occasional bog dunking), lots of running around, and lots of happy dogs enjoying time with friends. Rain or shine, the adventures continue! 🌧️☀️🐶

If your dog would love to join the fun, get in touch for availability ✉️

You’re a dog walker with a 4-dog morning 🐶🐶🐶🐶

All of the dogs were on their best behaviour at pick up today and hopped right in the van excited for their walk.

The sunshine ☀️ does make everything feel calmer and meant cleaning and drying was a bit easier!

From excited pick-ups and wagging tails to muddy paws, play and lots of sniffing… this is what a typical morning walk looks like behind the scenes. 🐾

Four different personalities, one big adventure, and by the end of it… four very happy (and very tired) dogs ready for a nap or in Delta’s case… pizza 🍕

Thinking your dog would love joining the pack?

📩 Send me a message to ask about walk availability!

🚶🏻‍♀️ Why do I wear a dog walking belt? 🐕‍🦺

Mainly for safety. It keeps my hands free so I can manage leads properly and react quickly if needed. It also spreads the pull across my hips rather than my arms, which helps keep things more controlled - especially when I am walking more than one dog.

It’s a simple bit of kit that helps make walks safer and calmer. I use the belt!

💛 What a lovely week!

We had our first walk with storm 🐶 getting ready to make introductions to groups next week. Skye and Benny joined our groups and the sunshine ☀️ made an appearance for Friday!

What was your favourite thing about your week? 👇🏻

Have a great weekend ☺️🌷

🐕 Sniffing isn’t a distraction from the walk… it is the walk 🐾

Dogs experience the world primarily through scent. When we rush them past every lamppost, hedge, and patch of grass, we’re skipping the part of the walk that actually enriches them.

Sniffing provides:
✨ Mental stimulation
✨ Stress relief
✨ Confidence building
✨ Natural decompression

A slow “sniffy walk” can be more fulfilling than a fast-paced march around the block.

Let them sniff. Let them process. Let them be dogs. 🐾

Counting down to spring 🌸🐾

Longer days, lighter evenings and plenty of fresh air. I am still tackling the mud 😂 swipe to see today’s boots 🥾

The dogs don’t care what the weather is like, we have fun throughout the seasons. But it’s so nice to see some sun ☀️
