Was also so nice to see wee Mac being crazy with someone other than me 😂
He definitely didn’t like that we dragged him out in the rain but it was so worth it.

🚨 OPERATION: BLUE BALL RECOVERY 🚨

At 0900 hours, intelligence reported a missing blue ball in the area.

A highly trained operative was deployed immediately. After a thorough search of the terrain, the target was successfully located and secured.

No treats were exchanged.
No paws were harmed.

Mission status: COMPLETE ✅🐾🔵

☁️ CLOUDY DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN COOL ☁️

Even though it’s cloudy this afternoon, temperatures are still expected to hit around 21°C — which can still be a little too warm for many dogs, especially during the middle of the day 🐶🌡️

Getting your dogs out early is one of the best things you can do in warmer weather. Early walks mean cooler ground temperatures, less heat, and a much safer, more comfortable walk for them 🐾

A few important reminders for today:
💧 Keep them hydrated
🧊 Make sure they have somewhere cool and shaded to lie down
☀️ Avoid long walks during the warmest part of the afternoon
🐕 Watch for signs of overheating such as excessive panting or slowing down

We were out nice and early this morning and it was perfect walking weather despite the clouds 🌿🐾

When dogs stop to sniff and lick the ground on walks, it’s basically their version of reading the local newspaper! 🗞️👃

Dogs experience the world through scent, and every patch of grass or lamppost can tell them:
• who’s been there 🐾
• how long ago they passed ⏰
• whether they were stressed, happy, male or female 👀
• and loads more information we humans can’t even detect!

Licking can help them “taste” scents too, giving them even more detail about their surroundings.

So next time your dog spends 5 minutes investigating one spot… they’re just catching up on the local gossip 😂🐕
