All of a sudden, it’s October! 🍂 The post 7pm sunsets have left us until spring, and the fire went on this week. Elsie looks like she’d like a word with whoever swapped the temperature around from outside to inside 😂🔥
There are transitions in this house too, adjusting to life after school and driving lessons, mum style. Another reason to lie down in a quiet room 😂
Although posts have been sparse, the dogs have been powering on, being the best bunch in town. Plenty of walking, playing and general nonsense, with the daycare dogs enjoying their bonus chill afterwards and the boarders trying out the new couches. Thoroughly.
Gayle’s Willow and Bandit are doing brilliantly. Both have picked Elsie as their play pal and watching her try to handle the pair of them has been very funny. Ralph is also keeping play alive, with Buddy being a very obliging pal ❤️
Dexter and Lola enjoyed some time staying here. They love each other’s company and are like two big furry cushions. Dexter has enjoyed more freedom on walks which is beautiful to see, much to Lola's delight, even if his penchant for standing in the same spot means I'm generally the one doing the fetching 😜
Little Dixie was really poorly but has now thankfully recovered, and we’ve never been happier to hear a dog barking at the neighbours again ❤️
Summer is still Georgie’s best friend, as are Hugo and Archie, all of them continue to amuse me with their synchronised antics. Maisie B, the waggiest girl in the world, is delighted to be back. The feeling is mutual!
Ringo, the best travelled dog in town, is back from his adventures and coming to stay again soon, complete with his steak rider, medium rare and al dente veg. Coco is sweet as ever, joining in a chase on the rare occasions she deems it worthwhile. Ozzy has been keeping reasonably clean. All things considered 😂
Alfie is getting extra cuddles, if that's at all possible, due to his slightly emptier nest at home! Maisie is still loving her far-off adventures and cuddles with complete strangers. Absolutely no stranger danger there.
Layla remains our beautiful, grumpy cuddle girl. Not one to suffer fools, pups, boys or postmen, her mighty instinct to alert us to every passing visitor is the reason I don’t have a doorbell 😂 However she's not around as much these days so Elsie has been filling her big loud boots! 🚨🤣
Sweet Bonnie is loving her walks, even if she needs reminding of the boundaries now and again. She could skip delightfully into the sunset without a backward glance. This way, Bonnie!
Honey has been bravely paddling — big brave girl! And Harlie is still wonderfully animated for the photos. A proper poster boy for fun.
Very proud of this lovely pack ❤️ Hopefully we’ll find a bit more time to update regularly soon. This old walker needs a disco nap after the busiest days. Eight years of Walkidoggi this September — can you believe it! Not quite as sprightly as I once was, and perhaps that goes for us all 😂🐶🐺🐶 apart from the newbies.
There’s something lovely about sharing all these years. The same scenery, familiar friends and all finding our pace. Still plenty of fun, just a need for a comfy seat afterwards.
Thank you, September, for the sunshine and mild days. The fear of winter is setting in, though. Elsie’s face really does speak for both of us 😂🔥
Here’s a wee look at what we’ve been up to 🐾❤️
