I want to write a wee post in memory for my Dad, Andy. Who we lost 3 years ago.

Writing it is still quite surreal and honestly that feeling never shifts, so the fact it’s been 3 years already feels very strange. I’ve wrote about him before on here and I was again questioning if I should do so, but it wouldn’t be right not to. He really helped shape me into who I am today!

My Dad was definitely a go getter & had such a mind for dismantling problems, big or small. He was a great chef, though sometimes had a questionable palate😂we were truly so lucky to have him in our lives.

We’ve wanted to start The Pawclaimers for a long time but caring for my Dad in 2023 took priority - fast forward to now I and we are almost 2 years in the game!

Reflecting back on the business, I had no idea how much it has helped me through the grieving process, long and lengthy that it is. Your dogs never fail to put me on my toes or bring a smile to my face. This job means so much more to us than a job, I never thought I’d ever be lucky enough to experience that feeling! I don’t quite feel like I’m stumbling through life the way I used to when my dad passed, some days are hard but I know he’d be proud of what we’ve accomplished.

We are ever growing, always learning and always happy to help out. But really just another huge thank you to everyone for all your trust, love and support - it really is a blessing to be able to do this. 💙

To finish, I’ll just attach some advice and a drink recipe my dad left for us in a book my sister gave him long ago. Maybe you could try it out to start the weekend right. 😂😉🥃
