Dog owners — I’d really appreciate your help! 🐾

I’m currently carrying out some market research into dogwear & accessories and would really love to hear from fellow dog owners about their experiences — what works, what doesn’t, and what they feel could be improved.

🎓💗 Good Bye & Good Luck Katie! 💗🎓

Today we said a very bittersweet goodbye to our lovely Katie as she leaves the Bedlay Gardens team to begin an exciting new chapter - heading off to university to study Biomedical Science! 🧬🔬

Katie (our weekend dog handler) has become such a valued part of the Bedlay Gardens team, and we know there are going to be plenty of dogs (and humans!) may wonder where she’s disappeared to! 🐾😂

We couldn’t let her leave without giving her a proper Bedlay send-off... complete with prezzies, cakes and balloons 🎈🧁😂

We’re incredibly proud of you Katie. This is a huge next step and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you. We have absolutely no doubt you'll smash it. ❤️

Thank you for everything you’ve brought to Bedlay Gardens, Katie. Your good vibes, kindness, positive attitude, incredible work ethic, friendly persona with clients and natural connection with dogs will be very missed around here... although we fully expect regular visits whenever you’re home, and perhaps you'll be back during the summer sometime! We're certain the four-legged members of the team will be desperate to see you again 🐶🐾

YES, WE TAKE ON DOGS WHO NEED MORE TIME AT FIRST! ⚖️

Whether that be because they can be nervous of new people or dogs, like our new boy here, a romanian rescue called Otis 💯

❓️Or maybe your dog isnt a fan of other dogs?
❓️Maybe they'd prefer to be the only dog and have solo walks or solo daycare?
❓️Maybe they dont like being picked up in a van? ❓️Maybe they like dogs but need a slow careful introduction to the environment and people first?
❓️Maybe they haven't been away from you before and they need a gradual process?
❓️Maybe they are nervous of new people, or men they dont know?

We can help with that! ✅️

We can build a plan with you that's catered to your dogs needs. We are always happy to help do whatever it takes to get the best from your dog,
even if that takes a bit longer at first.

Otis owners have been on a JOURNEY with this dog, so finding a dog walker or daycare they could trust to manage and care for him was a really stressful thing for them.

We came up with a plan to work with Otis' owners and Otis, who isnt a fan of people coming into his house, going into the van and can be a little reactive to unfamiliar dogs or people when hes on lead. But with the right game plan, management/safety procedures, transition and introduction in place, we knew Otis would get on great here at Bedlay and he'd be in his own pack soon enough when the time is right ❤️🌟

If you've been too worried to contact us because you dont think we'd cater to your dog, give it a try. We are very open and honest and we will tell you if we dont think your dog is suited to our environment or if there is an approach we can take to ease their transition and show them how much fun it is 🐾🫶

Thats what our 2 HOUR MEET & GREET and EVALUATIONS are for! 🙌🙌

Every dog, every breed, every size, every behaviour... any case that comes through our doors is assessed on a case by case basis ✅️
We dont discriminate, we don't prejudge ❌️

Remember most dogs act VERY different, with far less amplified or heightened emotions once they are away from their owners. 💭 💭💭 The version of the dog you see, isn't generally the version we see 🤗. Sometimes the most reactive or nervy dogs come in for an evaluation and as soon as their owners leave, they turn into a whole new dog with us! 🌏👏🥰

We are always happy to work WITH owners, if we believe there is a way we can both work together to ease your dogs transition to them feeling safe and comfortable here! 🥰

We will always try our very best and offer owners any advice on what you can do at home and what we can do to make things happen ❤️🫡
