Ever since Tess died I've struggled with taking photos but today I looked up, and there they were, all lined and posing, reminding me I am so lucky to have all my lovely dogs and cats at work. They've kept me going and continue to give me purpose.

Very sad to tell everyone that I had to say goodbye to my own dog Tess this week. She was my supervisor at work from January 2012, when she adopted me, until she retired from active duty in December 2023. She had a huge list of doggy friends through work and loved being out and about with me. She enjoyed a slower pace in retirement but sadly at age 15 yrs and 5 months her time came. There is no sadness quite like the pain of losing a beloved pet but I have many happy memories and in time they will help. Meanwhile the dogs and cats at work have been very accommodating with extra cuddles!

Started the week getting soaked wading through wet bracken and finished it getting soaked by wading through the loch. Weather is a constant challenge in this job but there's usually a way to enjoy it.
