Every dog can be helped. My aim isn’t just to help your dog but to also help you become a better dog handler

There are 3 main reasons why people don't train their dogs.
1) They don't think they can afford it,
2) They don't think they have time,
3) They think their dog is untrainable. THE SOLUTIONS ARE

1) Our prices and packages are affordable for everyone.
2) If you struggle with time because of work etc then take advantage of our school. While you are working your dog can be with us learning obedience, how to heel, walk on the leash, place command, socialising and how to interact, scent work and any behaviour issue your dog might have. Most importantly your dog will also have fun. The days are all structured so your dog has a balance of training, playtime, outdoor time and rest time.
3) Every dog is trainable

Here at Furever Pawsitive we can accommodate all your needs! Get in touch and get booked in today!

To raise the £2000 for Buddy's surgery we are going to put up another Just Giving page and we are going to do a raffle for really good prizes. We have already been donated some good prizes but if anyone else is able to donate any prizes we would be very grateful. I will put a post up at the start of next week to confirm everything and to put the links up. Also if anyone has any other ideas on how to raise money please DM us.

I am going to do a post on other social media like TT with the link to the Just giving page. I will put together a video but we don't have the voice for social media so if anyone that likes talking on social media and would like to do a voice over on the video could you please DM us 🐾

If a trainer turns up to your house with 100 hotdogs, uses anxiety as an excuse for all your dogs behaviour issues when your dog doesn't have anxiety and says place training will fix everything then the best advice I can give you is to politely ask them to leave and hire a different trainer. The dog in this video is a cavapoo named Bowie. He doesn't have any major issues like any sort of aggression or reactivity or anything like that. Infact he is quite neutral when it comes to dogs. Some of his issues were lead pulling, he whines and barks at bedtime because he wants to sleep with the owners, in the car he whines, pants and jumps in the front to sit on his owners lap, he is really bad at stealing food to the point he jumps on the table and he jumps over everyone that walks in the door. None of those issues are caused by anxiety and as much as I love place training, place training will only manage some of those behaviours, it won't stop them from ever happening again. The first 2 clips was taken from picking Bowie up. He did try to jump over a couple of times but I never caught it on camera. The issues is just a little bit of stress, not anxiety. The last clip you'll see I left food near him and went into the kitchen. No commands were given to him, he just learned stealing food is unacceptable. Just remember, obedience and behaviour are not the same thing so when Bowie came for training he learned the difference between yes and no before we worked on obedience 🐾

🚨🚨BUDDY UPDATE🚨🚨

Buddy was at the orthopeadics in Stirling yesterday and this is the outcome from the surgeon.

She believes Buddy's leg was broken when he was about 4 or 5 months old. A plate was put in in a way that they manipulated the top and the bottom to allow his bones to grow. Since he has grown and where the plate is now sitting it needs to come out however his leg has healed so the plate doesn't need to go back in. It has caused an infection inside his leg just where the scar is so they gave us antibiotics for that. The surgery is going to cost between £2000 and £2500 however he doesn't need it straight away which is a bit of a relief as it gives us time to try to raise the money. He isn't in any pain whatsoever which is good however because he never had any sort of rehabilitation after the leg break the muscle mass in that leg is almost non existent which is what contributes to his constant bunny hopping. He does need physio to help build the muscle back up which we are going to do and we are going to teach him how to walk properly.

We are going to start another just giving page to help raise the money to remove the plate but we are also going to do raffles, sponsored walks, guess the breed, guess the name of the dog and I am going to start Buddy's own social media page so everyone can watch his progress. I might turn this page into Buddy's page. Now these are just ideas so if watching Buddy's progress is something people might be interested in let me know in the comments. Also if anyone has any other ideas to raise money please comment below 🐾

If you want to help your reactive dog then your mind needs to be stronger than your emotions 🐾

Some clips of Elsies groom. Previously Elsie couldn't go to a groomers infact she would have needed sedated to go to one or to go to the vets. This is her second groom since being with us and it was achieved by teaching her how to deal with pressure. A big shout out to Tailsdoggrooming for helping with Elsie 🐾

How does your dog behave in the vets? Ivy is nearly finished her residential training and had her boosters due. Usually when Ivy goes to the vets she is a nightmare in the waiting area and reactive to dogs. I took her this morning and this is how she now behaves. I didn't even ask her for a down, she just knew how I wanted her to behave. If you can't take your dog to the vets, need to stand outside until it's your turn or sit in your car just remember, it doesn't need to be like that 🐾

I am posting a longer version of the last video to show you that ecollars don't cause stress in dogs. Bad training or lack of causes stress in dogs, not what you use. In this video the only dog showing signs of stress is the Jack Russell at the beginning. All the other dogs are thriving 🐾

2 clips here of 2 dogs with different types of reactivity. 1st clip you'll see a very oversocialised dog with 3 of my very neutral dogs. 2nd clip you'll see Ivy the cocker spaniel who is in for reactivity that she uses to keep dogs away. However you'll notice she isn't reactive and is quite neutral. People always talk about how certain training methods cause stress in dogs but in these 2 clips there is only one dog that is stressed. Remember when you are looking for a doggy daycare look for one that is structured and calm otherwise your dog will more than likely end up like the dog in these clips 🐾

We need help to send Buddy to the orthopaedics 🐾

We need help to send Buddy to the orthopaedics 🐾

So we are once again asking for help for Buddy. We have been thinking for over a week on where to go now and decided that we are going to send Buddy to the orthopedics. They quoted us between £700 and £800 so they can investigate more on what is going on with his back legs. He doesn't seem to be in any pain however he struggles to move his legs seperately. He tends to bunny hop quite a lot, has to get helped on to the couch, picked up to go in the car, can't lift his leg to p*e, can't use his back legs to scratch and on any floor like laminate, lino etc his legs keep giving way. We are raising money so we can take him to the orthopedics in Stirling and we are asking for your help once again. We won't be able to rehome him until we get him sorted. If you are unable to donate would you please shar this page? We want to thank everyone who has helped and supported Buddy through his journey so far. The link is in the comments 🐾

PS. I might make Buddy his own social media page to video and show his journey. If it is something anyone would be interested in please let us know 🐾
