DOUBLE AWARD JOY! 🏆

I’m absolutely delighted and incredibly proud to share that Mollycoddle Pet Care won the New Business Award at the North Dorset Business Awards 2026!✨

After winning the same title at the Gillingham Dorset Biz Awards back in July, I was thrilled just to be a regional finalist. With incredible businesses from across Gillingham, Shaftesbury, Sturminster Newton and Blandford Forum all in the running, the standard was exceptionally high. To come away with another win is just surreal! 💛

Mollycoddle Pet Care recently celebrated its first anniversary. Heading into our second year with two awards is something I could never have imagined when I first started.

This truly wouldn’t have been possible without my wonderful customers. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me over the past year—whether by booking services, recommending me to family, leaving reviews or nominating me.

Whether I’m looking after your furry, feathered or scaled family members, I never take your trust for granted. Being invited into your homes and trusted with your much-loved pets is a privilege I feel lucky to experience every single day. No matter how much we grow, my focus will always remain the same: providing reliable, personal and dedicated care.

An absolute honour ✨ 🐾

Many of you know how deeply passionate I am about animal safety. Outside of Mollycoddle Pet Care, I proudly volunteer with Eye In The Sky - a fantastic team dedicated to helping reunite lost dogs with their families. 🚁 🐕

Last October, a local dog called Twiggy bolted in fear during a walk, leaving her owner facing a horrendous 20-hour ordeal.

After nearly a day of an exhausting cat-and-mouse chase across busy A-roads, I arrived to help and began mapping Twiggy’s movements using the latest sightings and AirTag locations.

Based on Twiggy’s behaviour and the information we had, I suggested a different approach that might encourage her to come out of survival mode. Thankfully, Twiggy picked up her owner’s scent, and the two were finally reunited.

Twiggy’s owner was the brilliant bestselling Dorset author, Della Galton! She has completely blown me away by dedicating her brand-new book to me for my help that day. Della wrote:

“[Julia] was there in some of the worst moments of my life. And also in some of the best.”

The safe return of a much-loved dog will always be the real reward, but seeing my name in the front of a book is something special I never expected. It is truly an honour that I’ll cherish forever, and it felt too special not to share. ❤️

No stress, no distractions, just pure ball and frisbee fun!
Our visits to the North Dorset Secure Dog Field are a wonderful alternative to traditional walks for larger canine families who love to play together. It is also a safe haven for nervous pups or dogs still mastering their recall.

If you are looking for a safe, refreshing treat to keep your pup cool during this hot weather, you have to try Doggy Doggy Yum Yum. I found these dairy-free tubs at Thekaffee in Gillingham. Available in peanut butter and banana, and apple and blueberry. Safe to say, the dogs are obsessed!
