I'd like to introduce a new member of the clan....
Welcome Vera 😍.
She came to us in May and has settled into her new life beautifully.
Thank you Mandy Suggitt for allowing us to have another of your splendid Aptrick Bruxellois Griffon's.
They make my heart swell.
Taz (Aptrick Ursula Andre's) and Pip (Aptrick Sunshine) fully welcomed their family member.
So proud of my girls.
So kind, so gentle, so funny ❤️.
Vera in her own right a show stopper, is mother to Butterscotch who is flying high in every show she attends. Roll on Crufts 2024!
Vera may have hung her show ribbons up but is adventuring into modelling, advertising and product testing for TDP!

Pips op was due to mammary tumours. We rehomed her a few weeks after an emergency c-section and she'd been spayed at the same time. She was 2 years old. She's now nearly 10.

This highlights the importance of spaying your bitch as early as you can. Up to 2 years of age virtually eliminates the chances of this occurring but afterwards the odds start to add up.

Two things are possible with Pip. Either a small fragment of ovarian tissue was missed in the already difficult situation or she was already older than the optimum age bracket.

The medical onesie is being washed, hence the photo.

Little Miss Pip is healing nicely and getting back to her normal self 😍.

No results yet on the mammary lumps but 🤞🍀 they are benign.

She has one scar for the mammary removal, one for the exploration to try to find ovarian tissue to help prevent a reoccurrence.

Unfortunately nothing found as it could have immersed into other tissue by now.

Stitches out next week 😊.
