We had the pleasure of having miss Beau in for her first ever grooming session, and what a star she was!💕
The first few visits to the groomer can make a HUGE difference to how they feel about grooming for the rest of their lives. We recommend starting puppy introductions from around 12 weeks old🛁
The aim isn’t to give your puppy a haircut straight away, it’s to introduce them to the grooming environment slowly, positively and at their own pace.
Our introductions are great because,
🐾We build confidence before their first full haircut.
🐾We create a trusting, loving relationship between your puppy and their groomer.
🐾We get them used to the different sounds and sensations of a busy grooming salon.
🐾We introduce them to bathing, shampooing and the dryer.
🐾It can with socialisation and being handled by someone other than their family. Perfect for vet visits!
🐾We teach them that having their paws, face, ears and body handled is nothing to worry about
🐾And, of course… there’s plenty of playtime and cuddles involved too!
The goal is to build a confident little dog who grows up seeing grooming as a normal, positive part of life, rather than something scary that they have to endure. We want them to be excited to see us!
