Grass Seed Warning for Dog Owners πΆ
We've been finding lots of grass seeds in dogs' coats recently, so we wanted to remind everyone to check their pups after every walk.
During grooming, we've found grass seeds hidden in:
πΎ Between the toes
π Around and inside the ears
𦡠Under the armpits
π Around the groin and tail area
π§₯ Deep within thick or long coats
Grass seeds may look harmless, but they can burrow into the skin and cause painful infections if they're not removed quickly.
A quick brush and check after walks can make a big difference. If your dog is suddenly licking a paw, shaking their head, or seems uncomfortable, it's worth having them checked by your vet.
As always, we'll remove any loose grass seeds we find during grooming, but regular checks at home are just as important especially at this time of year.
Stay safe and give your furry friends an extra cuddle from us! ππΎ
