60 bags of feed delivered this morning… and had to get a selfie with the customers. 🐪😂

A quick delivery just down the road from us in Denham, 60 bags of feed for these two!

They looked like they had the “hump” when I arrived… but seemed much happier once they realised I’d brought breakfast. 🤣

Had to get a photo with them before I left. Not every day you get to make a camel delivery! 🐪🚚

Safe to say, I’m now on first name terms with the locals. 😂

Another pallet of Bedmax in this week… 👀

It’s funny how a few bags of feed and a couple of bales of bedding doesn’t look like much when you’re loading the trailer… then you see a full pallet like this and realise just how much goes through the doors! 😂

Well… today’s deliveries didn’t quite end how I planned. 🤦🏼‍♂️

For the first time since taking over Hooves & Hounds I’d made it through an entire day without a single problem…

Then came the last delivery.

I opened the trailer to grab the final two bales of Bedmax, which had slid right to the front. I climbed inside to pull them back…

…and the wind slammed the trailer door shut. 🚪💨

Yep… I locked myself inside my own trailer. 🚛🤣

To make it even better, I’d left the Defender running in the middle of the yard while I was stuck for 10 mins!

Luckily I had my phone in my pocket, so I had to ring the customer and ask if they’d come and rescue me from my own trailer. Safe to say that wasn’t the ending to the day I had planned! 😂

While all that was going on, our flatbed trailer is in the workshop having the brakes sorted, so hopefully that’s one less thing to worry about this week.

Owning a business is never boring… and apparently neither are deliveries! 😂

🌾 The annual “Have you got any hay?” season has officially begun… 📱😂

This photo should save me replying to approximately 247 Facebook messages over the next 24 hours…

Yes, we’ve got hay.

No, we haven’t suddenly become a hay merchant.

No, I won’t swap it for a lawnmower, quad bike or “cash waiting.” 😅

And no, asking “Any discount if I take them all?” isn’t going to work. 😉

Just a reminder that we’re a feed business, not a hay supplier.

At the moment we only have round bales available, and they’re only available to our feed customers.

If you’re a new customer looking for hay, we’ll happily help once you’ve placed a minimum of three feed orders or become a regular feed customer.

With the lack of rain and the dry conditions this year, we’re being very careful with our hay stocks so we can continue looking after the customers who support us throughout the year.

Thanks for your understanding and continued support. 🌾
