Just a little info for the school holidays ☀️
After a few recent inquiries..

We are a small family run business both myself and Steph have children with this in mind , during the school holidays the shop may close earlier as shop cover isn’t always viable.

I understand this can be inconvenient however the shop will be open 9am - 2pm at a minimum Monday through Friday. Clientele dependant.

Again we understand this may be inconvenient and frustrating however our children do come above all else.

We hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather and the holidays.

Double coated breeds like German Shepherds have two distinct layers: a dense, soft undercoat that keeps them warm in winter and cool in summer, and a longer, tougher topcoat that shields their skin from sun, dirt and moisture. Regular grooming isn’t just about keeping them looking neat – it’s critical for their health and comfort!

Skipping sessions leads to tangled fur, trapped dead hair, overheating risk, skin irritation, and even compaction that is similar to the matting of curly coated dogs that pulls at their skin or trap bacteria. Sticking to a consistent schedule helps keep both coats in perfect condition, supports healthy skin, and keeps shedding manageable all year round.

Our handsome German Shepherd George pops in like clockwork every 5 weeks – and right now we’re at the start of his big summer blow out! 🤩 This is when his undercoat sheds out heavily to make way for a lighter summer layer. Keeping up with grooming through this phase removes all that loose hair before it can compact or trap heat, helping him stay nice and cool as the weather warms up.

Sticking to his routine means we keep his coat healthy, avoid uncomfortable tangles, and make sure George is ready to enjoy every sunny day comfortably! 💛
