🐾 Today is World Arthritis Day! 💙

Arthritis is a progressive condition that can affect our pets as they age. Although it cannot be cured, there are many ways we can help manage the condition, ease discomfort and support your pet in leading a happy, comfortable and active life.

🐶 Signs of arthritis to look out for include:
🐾 Stiffness, particularly after resting
🐾 Limping or changes in the way they walk
🐾 Struggling to jump onto furniture or into the car
🐾 Reluctance to go for walks or play
🐾 Difficulty getting up or lying down

These signs may indicate osteoarthritis, a painful condition caused by the degeneration of the joints.

💙 We're here to help! Arthritis can be assessed as part of your pet’s senior wellness check, making it a great opportunity to discuss any changes you’ve noticed as your pet gets older.

If you're concerned that your pet may be experiencing arthritis, booking an appointment with one of our vets is an important first step towards helping them feel more comfortable and enjoy life to the fullest.
