on Saturday i gave our gorgeous boy Ghost his end of life groom. today, we said or last goodbye.
It’s impossible to put into words how much this hurts. Ghost wasn’t just a dog, he was a best friend, a shadow to all our family, and the reason i started my dog grooming business in the first place. every step in my journey began with him. he inspired me everyday, teaching me patience, love, and the special bond we share with our dogs. he taught me more than any course or qualification ever could.
every dog that has sat on my grooming table has been touched by the passion that Ghost gave me. without him, i may not have ever found a career that i truly love.
mum and dads house feels quieter, my heart feels heavier, and there is an emptiness that can’t be filled. but i am so grateful for every cuddle, every adventure, every silly moment, and every unconditional ounce of love that he gave me.
thank you for everything, Ghost. you were my inspiration, my comfort, and now my biggest heartbreak. a piece of my heart went with you today, but your paw prints will stay on it forever.
i’m going to miss creating baby Ghosties with the endless amount of hair you shed.
you were the reason i started Ghost, and you’ll always be the reason i keep going.
