🐾✨ Meet Laika – a VIP (very important puppy)! ✨🐾
This gorgeous Golden Retriever girl came in for her very first grooming experience this afternoon, and what a little superstar she was! 💕 As a VIP, Laika is extra special because she was in the same training class as my own puppy, Barney. 🥰
Like many puppies, Laika was a little unsure about the dryer at first, but with plenty of patience, praise, treats and cuddles, she soon realised that grooming isn’t so scary. 🛁✂️🐶
And this is exactly why starting grooming early is SO important. ❤️
Getting your puppy used to being handled, brushed, bathed, having their paws and ears touched, standing on the grooming table and experiencing the dryer from a young age can make such a difference as they grow. A puppy who learns that grooming is a positive experience is much more likely to become a happy, confident adult dog when they need regular grooming.
🐶 Ideally, puppies should have their first gentle introduction to professional grooming from around their second vaccination, following your vet's advice.
Well done, Laika! You were an absolute star. ⭐🐾

This handsome Cockapoo came in for his pamper this afternoon and was an absolute dream to groom. 💕 He was so well behaved from start to finish and, of course, loved all the cuddles along the way! 🥰

🐾✨ Roxy had her pamper session at Top Tails Dog Grooming this morning! ✨🐾

Just look at this gorgeous girl! 🖤 Roxy is a beautiful Cockapoo with the most amazing coat — and once clipped, it feels just like velvet! 😍🐶

She was such a sweetheart and left looking (and feeling!) wonderfully fresh, soft and fabulous. 💕✂️

I had the pleasure of grooming this gorgeous Cockapoo today, and with a local dog show coming up, the pressure was definitely on! 🏆✂️
