Peeps. Public warning announcement.

I put down grass seed last week and the green carpet is already looking like this. The same exercise took twice as long when I put some seeds down in May!

I'm seeing A LOT of horse owners' feet coming off the brake pedal and I'm telling you, this is not the time.

Coats are changing, lymphatic systems and the liver are under stress.
Temperatures drop and horses naturally want to eat more. During the day it's still warm though.
PPID horses will show their seasonal rise in ACTH.

Crests have swollen to worrying levels.
Some horses' fat pads have developed fat pads.
Horses are coming in foot sore.
The autumn flush is clearly flushing significantly right now.

Please. Don't throw caution to the wind too early and get caught out. This is not the time yet to relax management choices during critical spring/summer months!
